Florida has two wins in their last seven games, one of them a 5-point victory over Vandy and the other a come from behind win over Furman. Meanwhile Ohio State has a stud freshman QB who is perfect for Meyer's system.

Patterson is one of those weird guys who will probably at TCU forever. Especially considering TCU will be getting more money now and will be able to pay him accordingly. He's a program guy through and through.

As for Petersen, there are two hospitals in America that can work with his son. One is in Boise and the other is in Houston, Texas.

I knew that was the reasoning for him staying at Boise so long. Didn't realize there was another one in Houston.

Yeah. MD Anderson is one of the best cancer treatment centers in the United States. It's where my mom got her brain cancer treated.

As for OU, they suck so it would be just awesome.

Ohio State's talent is a great situation to walk into, but let's not pretend like he left the cupboard bare at Florida.

His final recruiting class (2010) was ranked #1 and hailed as the greatest of all-time, and had several other top notch classes waiting in the wings as well. Muschamp is just in over his head and they are changing from a spread to a pro-style offense while dealing with QB issues due to injuries.

You mean the health issues that caused him to miss zero games? He announced he was gonna take time off after the bowl game, and came back before the start of spring practice. Basically, he took five weeks off. Glad you think that was such a debilitating issue though.

How are we to buy the health issues when A. he continued to coach Florida for another season B. he proceeded to accept a travel intensive, time consuming position with ESPN immediately upon "retirement"?

And if he really did have serious heart problems, why is he taking the Ohio State job? His "issues" were chest pains. Chest pains. Nothing further was diagnosed, bro.

Meyer briefly resigned in late December, citing health concerns three weeks after he was rushed to a hospital with chest pain. He changed his mind the following day and instead decided to take a leave of absence following Florida's bowl game.

Meyer said the diagnosis came in January and he's been pain free since.

"It all relates to one pain, and that was waking up every morning with a toothache in your chest for the last three years and that's all related to one thing," Meyer said. "And so, since late January is the last time I had any issues at all with that."

You're forgetting that it was the "family" excuse that he used the 2nd time he "retired" ... The chest pains were resolved while he was still coaching Florida.
 
From everything I've heard, the health issues didn't have as much to do with him taking a year off as it did burnout, in that he was tired of having his assistants poached (Mullen, Strong, Mattison, Gonzalez, etc.) and having to continually rebuild his staff, and he was tired of dealing with SEC recruiting and the pressure cooker in general that it is.
 
He's fine, he took time to be with his family. Only problem with that is, he actually took time to be with his family. Lol.

Ive heard from numerous places that in his time off while at ESPN, he was able to see other coaches, and see their routines and how they did things. I guess he saw that at some places coaches didnt actually need to work 20 hour days.
 
Team meeting scheduled for 4PM tomorrow, supposedly going to be a presser at 6.

Latest news as far as filling out the staff is ND RB coach Tim Hinton will be joining Urban....
