That game was so much bullshit. 10 hits and 6 were home runs for the yanks

Disappearing ball again for me, I guess I just have to learn to deal at this point. It is really frustrating when the opponent throws 9 balls the entire game. I couldn't take a couple pitches to get used to the timing. 93% of the pitches thrown were for strikes.

I throw 67% percent strikes and give up 6 homeruns on 10 hits.

I am sorry I am bitching but that game was ultra frustrating. Don't know how much longer I can play on Vet hitting.

Ive yet to see the disappearing ball thing some ppl have said they have seen. Have you changed the camera settings? i have no clue about this.

i also suck at pitching this year most of my balls go down the middle. my ERA is almost at 3 and looking at alot of others i see its quite high. Im also averaging about 2 homers a game this year and i dont play with the Yanks much outside of league play so its not really them. Thats why i say we should just keep an eye out for it as the majority of my runs comes from homers.

I didnt pitch Mitre in the first game but i did bring him up from the minors so that could be the issue since i did see Nova was also drained after being brought up.

I havent brought anyone up from the minors, but last year, when you brought guys up they were tired. This was to prevent guys from cheesing and constantly rotating pitchers if they abused their bullpens.

i would like to see power turned down to 3 and raise contact to 7

all the hits are off deep balls. plus we really need to do something to raise the batting averages. this is getting ridiculous

my RP had full energy when i brought him in. after 12 pitches he was drained completely. he was fully warm

I understand what you are saying, but like I said before, the total number of HR's isnt the issue, its the proportion in relation to other hits.

We need to create more hits somehow, not decrease HR's. I think the HR rate is just about perfect.

Did those pitchers pitch back to back games? Did they have low stamina coming into the game?

I find this odd, because I have been testing the shit out of RP stamina, and have been getting very realistic results that I have been posting here after every game.

-When guys have thrown 2+ innings, they are drained and unusable.
-RP's almost always recover to almost 100% after a day off
-Back to back games have been no issue as long as it's 1 inning or less

I havent seen anything wacky like you guys are describing.

Did you guys warm them up completely before you put them in? It matters, as im sure you probably know.

I agree with you on RP's. I've not had those problems either.

I had Rauch/Carlson pitch 1.1, Frasor 0.1 in my first game.
Game 2, Dotel went 0.2, got rocked and was at 85% in my 3rd game. Frasor another 0.1
3rd game I had Rauch/Carlson/Frasor all throw 0.2 and all came into the game full.

Definitely true, I called up Reyes to pitch in my 5 slot and he came up with 0 stamina. He's probably not going to be fully ready for his start since I called him up after I opened with Romero. So he'll be pitching on 3 days rest. Yikes..

In my game with BucFan last night, although he said it was laggy for him, we had 22 combined hits with just 2 being a HR. :dontknow:

According to this data, 2B's and 3B's are just about dead on to real life.

The HR's are just as I suspected. Not really an overabundance (only about 1% higher per AB than reality, which isnt much), it just seems that way because most of the runs are coming from dingers. I can't back this up, but I would be willing to bet there were more HR's last year in our league on a percentage basis. I would also be willing to bet that 70% or more of the total runs have come via the HR so far. That's crazy, and makes it seem like we are hitting more homers than we really are.

The bold is the issue. Not enough singles.

And the hidden factor is more K's. Less balls in play = less hits. You can talk about having patience all you want, but anyone who has played enough games this year knows damn well that isnt the only issue.

So how do we increase singles, and decrease K's? I think bumping the contact up is definately worth a shot. I don't see how bumping down HR's will help anything. In fact, it might lead to less runs overall, which isnt good.

We're gonna try the changes I listed in the gameday thread and see how it changes things. Doesn't hurt to test stuff out.

More hits that aren't HR will reduce the percentage of hits being HR without taking anyway, but I still though they could be brought down. Maybe turn some outs into singles and some HR's into XB hits.

As for balls in play and K's, well you guys are mostly responsible for those. I don't have a problem with it and a few others don't either. Even with the lag BucFan said he had, he worked lots of long counts and didn't swing at many tough pitches or balls outside.

it was javier lopez. below avg stamina for a RP, but he should still get thru more than 12 pitches i would think. other than this one guys issue, none of my other RP felt off with there energy levels

tried playing Schmukie tonite for almost an hour and could never connect with him. It seems to be on his end because i played other league games tonite and havent had a problem.

This game is a fucking disaster online.

Played 2 games tonight with great connections and no lag, and this game still sucks goat testicles. Pitch speed needs to be turned up, I don't know why everyone wants to keep playing on these settings. Everyone is flailing away early at offspeed stuff, and when looking for a fastball people are still swinging early at 94mph cheese. Ugh.....TURN THE FUCKING PITCH SPEED UP! :club:

Every game is a chore to get through. I fanned Stealth 20 times with Wade Davis. He was swinging early on just about everything. Loads of fun.

I played Irish and outhit him 11-3, but lost 5-3. lol I gave up two inside the park HRs on botched fielding in the OF. :golfclap:

Veteran hitting is a bore. Hit variety is terrible. Has anyone tried other settings? How about HOF batting with contact turned up? Legend? Rookie? lol Anything different at this point.

Don't sweat it man, I would have taken those too. I just laughed at the stupidity of it all. I'm not sure what exactly happened on the Upton play, it looked like he had his glove out ready to catch the ball but he just missed it. I think the Zobrist error was my own handiwork. :rofl:

Its because the fielding stinks this year. Guys get terrible jumps on the ball (I am absolutely perplexed that people want to change the sliders to make the jumps slower, because these players already move like they are running in sand), and if you arent directly in the center of the shadow, they misplay the flyballs.

Why they tinkered and fucked with such a great game is beyond my understanding.
