VSN Baseball Spring Training Random Thoughts

I was up 2-1 in the 7th with 2 outs and Cory Hart got on base then a wild pitch and error got him to 3rd then another wild pitch scored the tying run. I ran out of time so I let him get a in the park homerun to win it in extra innings. Kick in the butt for sure.

i was listening to all of that happen on SC. was going to ask how he scored that inside the park one.

i think the OF are to quick too. simple change really...lower fielding speed

Anyone else thinking stealing is way to easy?

Wind is still way to effective. Last nights game felt like it was in gale force winds

I agree about the wind.

Basestealing is too easy, agreed, and oddly, pickoffs are WAY too easy. Not sure we can fix that one.

Havent noticed the OF arm strength being too strong.

the arm strength is fine...but lowering it is to offset the reduced base running speed.

Ugh..... Just played killgod in a laggy game that was about as fun as getting a root canal. He demolished me 7-1. I can't time the hitting AT ALL this year. This game is a total clusterfuck online.

Whose idea was it to turn pitch speed down? If anything, we need to crank that bitch up.

I don't have any of the same issues really..

I've seen nothing major with wind, maybe it's location/stadium specific? Playing twice in Toronto and once in Tampa I may not have seen it I guess.

I've had people steal on me with quick guys, but I've thrown people out too. I think the timing with throws infields on ground outs and double plays is fine, I mean I've eaten a couple weak choppers that go 2 feet for singles more than enough, this is only going to allow more players to be able to make those out. I'm not sold on messing with those things. Reduce just BR Ability to start if stealing is a concern, cause that just reduces the dice roll on how good of a jump your guy gets which is everything in stealing.

I think the OF cover too much ground in relative to the speed of the ball getting out there, so going to 4 would be a good start to see how that opens stuff up.

Just use the pickoff throws and keep the runners close. they usually wont get that big of a jump.

i dont think we should change the stealing stuff. just thinking its somewhat easy...but with the lack of runs, we dont want to take away speed.

hitting is a serious problem. playing LC i had just 1 K and hit the ball well and hard many times but they just wont drop. now u may say thats baseball and it happens. But it happens every game. it was another 1-0 final

im already sick of online. not because im not interested...but because its totally boring

btw, RP stamina is too low. Lopez was totally drained after 12 pitches. he had full energy when he came in

Guys I still need help on sac flys with runners on base and sending 1 runner to 3rd lets say and keep the other guy at 1st.

default baserunning control - left analog stick to the runner you want to move, then select the face button of the base u want to make him goto

example....guys on 1st and 2nd...fly ball....left analog stick up to highlight runner on 2nd....then hit square to make him run to 3rd

yea if you made an adjustment for relievers it definitely too low now, Mitre got tired after 1 inning in which he didnt throw to many pitches.

Also i just came off a game where i hit 6 homers, i know its Yankee stadium but homers is just something to keep an eye on.

yea if you made an adjustment for relievers it definitely too low now, Mitre got tired after 1 inning in which he didnt throw to many pitches.

Also i just came off a game where i hit 6 homers, i know its Yankee stadium but homers is just something to keep an eye on.

Did those pitchers pitch back to back games? Did they have low stamina coming into the game?

I find this odd, because I have been testing the shit out of RP stamina, and have been getting very realistic results that I have been posting here after every game.

-When guys have thrown 2+ innings, they are drained and unusable.
-RP's almost always recover to almost 100% after a day off
-Back to back games have been no issue as long as it's 1 inning or less

I havent seen anything wacky like you guys are describing.

Did you guys warm them up completely before you put them in? It matters, as im sure you probably know.

That game was so much bullshit. 10 hits and 6 were home runs for the yanks

Disappearing ball again for me, I guess I just have to learn to deal at this point. It is really frustrating when the opponent throws 9 balls the entire game. I couldn't take a couple pitches to get used to the timing. 93% of the pitches thrown were for strikes.

I throw 67% percent strikes and give up 6 homeruns on 10 hits.

I am sorry I am bitching but that game was ultra frustrating. Don't know how much longer I can play on Vet hitting.

i would like to see power turned down to 3 and raise contact to 7

all the hits are off deep balls. plus we really need to do something to raise the batting averages. this is getting ridiculous

I didnt pitch Mitre in the first game but i did bring him up from the minors so that could be the issue since i did see Nova was also drained after being brought up.
