the one MVP I felt he didn't deserve was SB MVP. That was a media buttfuck decision cause the guy finally got the shit done (even tho he did nothing in the entire playoffs, as well as that game).

Rhodes was that game's MVP.

He played well in the sb but probably wasnt mvp. Peyton apart from the opening 10minutes "buttraped" the Bears cover 2 d. Lots of SB MVPs are wierd . Eli Manning probably wasnt SB MVP , theres many cases of underserved sb mvps. So dont talk like Manning was the only one. Its funny cause all regular season Manning carried the poor ass d to the playoffs then in the post season the d carried Manning somewhat.

Isint that what a teams about? If u think Tom Brady won all the pats playoff games himself ur dumb . The Pats D is notorious to play nasty in the post season

Meh, like I said Rhodes had a great game and if he had won it I wouldn't have put up a fight but Manning had a great game too IMO. He completely dismantled the Bears passing wise and disected us bit by bit even if it was just going underneath. Honestly, outside of that early pick he played perfectly.

Like I said the one question I had about Rhodes in the game is how many of his yards were a product of the Bears being willing to let the running game beat them but not Manning? Every snap the Bears LB's were dropping hard it seemed and left big holes for Rhodes. Just my two cents. And I'll also frame my comment by saying I'm not a big Manning fan, I never liked him going all the way back to his days in Tennessee. I just think he's a hell of a QB.

I know I always learned to make inferences while reading. Guess you didnt do that. How would a player have value to a team if they werent in the playoffs? BTW you can ask almost all of the original VSN members and half of them will say all the posts I make are educated and contribute to the site.

Winning the league MVP, an award based on individual performance, is just as relevant in assessing a player's skills as an award based on team performance (SB ring). Thus, Cliff Stoudt winning 2 Super Bowl rings with the Steelers before ever taking a snap in the NFL is an accurate reflection of how awesome Stoudt was...while Peyton Manning winning league MVP is not noteworthy.

I really don't care what the other VSN members opinion of your posts are. All I care about is my opinion based on my dealings with you....and so far it's not high.

IMO I think the MVP award should go to a player on a playoff team. Not saying you can only be valuable if your team is in the playoffs. I am just saying I think the MVP award should go to a player in the playoffs. I feel the offensive player of the year award goes to a player with the best stats.

I think the NFL has done a good job with its MVP award. I just dont like it when some people say Drew Brees deserved the MVP award. No one in this thread said it but in previous threads they have said it. But it has been said on this site before. I think the offensive player of the year award is a great award because it usually goes by just stats and team records dont matter when considering a player. For some reason I believe we are agreeing on it but I am probably just wording my posts wrong where it doesnt sound right when you are reading.
 
the fact that peyton got the colts into the playoffs pushed him past brees for mvp, period. if you take manning off of the colts last year they win 3 games maybe. he pretty much picked that team up and carried them all year. a softr schedule didnt hurt them either but still, he did his work.

If you go by Nukes criteria it's true.
OJ's success in the NFL......I don't remember him making it to the playoffs. According to Nuke he would suck ass. To be fair to Nuke, it could be he uses this criteria for QB's only. I guess the rest of the team doesn't really matter. Just throwing the Nuke like argument out there. It's OK, flame away. I don't believe this nonsense either.
