Went to a theater in the city over winter break and was torn between seeing that or Blue Valentine. We saw Blue Valentine, and I've still been meaning to see this. I'm glad you liked it. Stephen Dorff will never have a role like that again and it went unnoticed, eh?

Yeah. It's definitely a divisive movie. Some people I know think it moves way too slow, which it does, but it's actually quite relaxing and has a real sense of space.
Definitely an odd movie. Not really any dialogue until the 20-minute mark.
Finished the night by watching Super. Might be the weirdest movie I've ever seen. Not sure if I liked it or not.

I had to watch it for my online class, it was absolutely brutal. Terrible acting and editing for 2 hours. Not to mention the soundtrack had an 80's dance feel at time (the movie takes place in the 1690's)

Persepolis - Very good film in the same vein as Waltz with Bashir as it is an animated biography of sorts. We are told the story of Iranian Marjane Satrapi's life beginning at the uprisings in 1978. The story gives a feeling of what it's like living in a country in turmoil as a child as well as Satrapi's struggle to find her identity after her parents make living arrangements for her in a foreign country.

Hangover II. I enjoyed it. I didn't go into it with high expectations do to the trailer, so it was better than I thought it would be. Wasn't as good as the first, but I still found it very funny.

Apocalypse Now Redux has been on AMC 3 times in the past 36 hours and I've tried to watch it all three times but can't seem to get through the 4.5 hours without some interruption coming up. Looks like a solid movie, but I'm probably going to put it in my netflix queue just to be able to see the end.
