This is the reason i dont care about polls until after the season is over.

Even if Okla State beats Oklahoma, its no sure thing that they should be #2...to me their loss weighs almost as heavily as their quality wins advantage.

Nobody can support anything. That's the point. It's ALL speculation.

We can look at opponents, close games, SOS, but the bottom line is we have no idea how either team would fare in a similar situation.

For me to think Alabama is better than Oklahoma St is like me saying the Saints are better than the 49ers. OHHH, but the Saints lost to the undefeated Packers, and the 49ers schedule is so tough, yadda yadda. It's just an opinion.

I think in similar conditions, Alabama would do just as well as Oklahoma St. Likewise, I think Oklahoma St would do similarly as well as Alabama, but I'm not sure if they could really compete with LSU.

I still feel that way. I said in the post that I think Alabama is better than Oklahoma St.

Even if Oklahoma St went undefeated, I think Bama is better. I don't get why that's so insane. I think the Patriots last year were the best team in football, and they lost in the Divisional Round. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm not saying we're entitled to anything. Just saying we're a good team.

Homerism aside good sir...from Oct 22 to Nov 19 (the ranking right after that game) Michigan/OSU were #1/#2 in the BCS Standings.

Sure Florida stomped the shit out of OSU, and USC danced a jig on Michigan's D but to that point they were the 2 best teams.

So how clear was it really?

I havent been here for 7 pages, mainly i was just replying to FT's stupid elimination theory. Okla State's claim to being #2 is that they have more impressive wins, not that Alabama "was eliminated" by LSU.
