I believe the big "issue" with it is that one of Canada's best players is 18, and the legal drinking age in B.C. is 19...and she was participating in the "festivities"

If you're old enough to die for your country, you should be old enough to drink in it.
In my opinion, the 19 and 21 drinking ages are ridiculous. It should be 18 throughout North America. You're a fucking adult, you're allowed to vote, you're allowed to serve in the military...

The thing with the drinking and cigar smoking is that it is the Olympic games and this not proper behaviour for them. If it was after the game out a bar, no one cares. But it is the fact they brought it out onto the ice and did it there in front of the world. This "maybe be Canada" but even I think that attitude is not proper for the Olympic games.

I just wish they made teams qualify a better way. Like a team should not be getting rocked 18-0. Because of all the games played, there was one meaningful game. Yeah you do have to give them time to get better, but it is going to be like 20 years before we get enough teams to make it a actual competition. Men's hockey you have like 6 teams who can all fight for gold on any given year, and a bunch of teams who can shock you and work in. Women's hockey it is just the same thing all the time. And after thus slutty display of sportsmenship, at the olympic games nonetheless, they should not complain if their sport gets the chop.

I love how we're all experts (I include myself) at sports we know nothing about every four years.
