Are Liverpool supporters upset at Daglish leaving? I mean, I know he's well loved by the supporters for his history with the club. But his performance was hardly anything great. In one full season, he won a trophy... but its the lowest-regarded trophy they could have won. He missed on most of his expensive buys. He managed to almost universally lower the opinions of the club in neutrals with his handling of the Suarez situation. Trophy or not, it seems like he did more harm than good.

Past contributions to the club can only take you so far. If either Wenger or Fergie reach a point where a Carling Cup win and a mid-table finish are the best they can provide, their given clubs would have to move on. Its sad but that's the game.

I understand why you're upset. You once expected glory, only to be surpassed by Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City and now Newcastle. Alas, you will be able to cheer on your team realistically in the Carling Cup every year, in which your best players will take on the reserves of England's most respected clubs.

No trophies for 7 years while losing several world class players yet somehow managing to keeping finishing in the top four and spending significantly less than the other big clubs in England. Would I prefer some trophies to be won? Fucking rights. Do I still appreciate what Wenger has managed to accomplish, given the circumstances? Fucking rights.
