Carroll was all Comolli not to mention that as soon as we payed that ridiculous price for him which was all Comolli's doing, every club was gonna try and rape us over fees (Swansea asked for 40 mil for Scotty Sinclair for fucks sake), United spent more in one window on 3 useless players than we have since FSG took over, where the squad was their net spend has been nowhere near where it needs to be if they were expecting a top 4 finish in the first season simple as that, no matter what Kenny said because he would never throw anyone under the bus we didn't spend in January when it was obvious we needed a striker and someone to replace Lucas and FSG have to be held accountable for that. I mean look at what City have spent and they barely won the league, yes the new signings have been disappointing but at the same time the benefit of the doubt needs to be given, it takes time to gel and it's a big step up for these players, the pressure of paling for us is matched only by playing for the mancs. Hendo has shown flashes and in a few years will be top notch, Enrique has been solid, Adam has been shite but he cost 6 mil and could still prove to be a decent squad player so whatever, Downing has been a let down yes but given the year the whole team has had, his confidence is shot and it's a big step up especially with that fee (which once again ties into the outlandish fee we paid for Andy which Kenny has no responsibilty in at all), should of settled in by now but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and will wait till next year until I judge him, i know I'm in the minority but I think he's a good player and we will see the real him during the Euros.

In this recent time as manager Kenny did nothing to show that he was capable of winning the league.

FSG definitely gave us enough money to crack the top 4 had we spent it wisely.

I've no doubt you were one of the morons who believe a Carling Cup win and losing in the FA final is better than finishing top 4 and earning a shot at the biggest championship in club soccer.

I want LFC to be the best. Our owners want the same. They believe Kenny is not the man who can get us there and they have a decent argument for it. I do believe who we appoint as our new manager will either cast a more positive or negative light on the firing of Kenny. If we land a proven big name, than it will have been worth it. If we get Roberto Martinez or someone of that ilk it will not have been worth it.

No I'm not, at the start of the season I said 4th was the goal pretty sure I posted it here but at the same time I want us to win stuff because that's what it's all about, yes league performance has been poor but we got to 2 cup finals, finally played at Wembley and we ended our drought even if it was only a shitty cup so I'm not gonna act like that's nothing at the same time. Just making top 4 is not success, look at Arsenal they come top 4 every year but aren't real challengers and haven't won shit for years, I don't wanna be like that, it might be good enough for them but it's not for me and it isn't for Liverpool, we exist to win trophies. I'm well aware we need top 4 to attract the players it's gonna take to win the league which is all I care about at this point and with FFP kicking in soon but I wanna win stuff, just taking part in the CL is not success. It might be acceptable for other clubs but we are Liverpool, we win trophies that is what Liverpool is all about, not this notion that coming 4th and getting CL money is what it's all about.

As do I, that is still to be determined, I have my concerns they're just in it to make money and even if it is true serious questions need to be asked about their football knowledge and who's advising them and their absenteeism, they couldn't even make it over for a Merseyside semi. There is no argument for sacking Kenny he was given a 3 year contract and he deserved to be able to see it through. You and any other fan who think we have any shot at a big name or even that Rafa will come back are fucking delusional, it's almost certain to be Martinez, the only other person I can possibly see it being is AVB both will be huge disappointments and you can in no way justify sacking Kenny to hire either of them.

Top 4 is a stepping stone. We aren't going to go from this current form to league winners. Winning the league time after time is our long term goal, however in the short term we need to focus on getting back in the top 4 and being competitive with the top teams. Also as I said, if we're in the CL we get better players and more money which increases our chances of winning the league.

I'm well aware we exist to win trophies. I'm not happing with a Carling or losing the final of the FA. The Carling was the highlight of our season which is kind of pathetic. Making to the FA final was nice but at the end of the day we didn't win it.
