So, discussions read in the PSN thread got me thinking about this again: those that have played it, is it a worthy conclusion now that the dust has settled from any hype? Is the story as bad as a lot of the internet would have people believe? I am sure I'll be picking it up soon, I just have been wondering about all of this and the only other dude that I know that has played this game is a buddy of mine that is in Finland right now.

It was ok. Definitely my least favorite of the series, but it wasn't a bad game. It definitely felt repetitive at times and I didn't think it needed to be as long as it ended up being. I'll agree with Buzzman, being separated from the group so many times by Isaac falling off a ledge or some dumb shit felt pretty retarded at times. I enjoyed how difficult parts of the game were (didn't play co-op, so I can't comment on Twigg's rage issues). As for the story, I honestly didn't really care anymore. It's fairly forgettable, as I've already forgotten a lot of the story aspects, and it I played it about a month and a half ago (so that says something).

I've enjoyed each game, this one the least, but still enjoyed it. However, I don't think this was a story that needed to be carried on for three games, and I hope that it's done now. Is the game worth playing? Sure. Is it a memorable experience? No.
