Whatever makes you feel better about it.

I am fine with the price, I am fine with the used game policy but the 24 hour check in is just straight Knubb.

        Seriously.

Considering MS's involvement with PRISM and how PRISM is basically copying EVERY SINGLE PEICE OF DATA used on a variety of companies services. Texts/email/phone/etc.

Do you seriously think your Xbox use won't be part of that? What you say to the Xbox, what it hears/sees, won't become part of your profile within the PRISM system?

If they felt they NEEDED to do a check in, I don't know why they wouldn't be more lenient with it (72 hours at least). I don't think it's going to be a huge issue, to be honest, I just wish they would put out something that makes fucking sense and just break the whole thing down. Every time they kind of do, a higher up comes out and says the opposite or something totally new. Or they just start spewing out the word cloud until people stop reading.

I doubt it, but who knows? If they do do that, hopefully they will at least be productive and use it to hunt down all the 11 year olds that call me racial slurs.

              Why do you doubt it?

I mean, 2 weeks ago if someone said "all your phone calls, internet use, etc" is being recorded and stored by the Government and they build profiles on everyone.

You'd respond "you're a cracked out tin foil hat nutjob"

But it ended up being true.

Why doubt this applying to the xbox for one of the early adopters of that program?

Because it's against your country's constitution for starters.

People have been thinking this for more than a decade. Someone just finally came out and said it.

That's about the least intrusive way I can think of, unless they want to be really user friendly and just say that a new 24 hour period starts every time your connection is ended.
I think this absolutely has to be the way they do the check. As long as you're connected to the Internet, you should be fine. It would be stupid to perform a check at some arbitrary time. It would be even dumber to make the user have to check-in manually.

Word.. Freedoms being violated don't effect most of us. Stupid old folks and the constitution need to die in a fire .
Best reason to have a license.

I don't see what it's going to tell them that having their hooks in phones and interwebs wouldn't. Seems like a pretty fruitless endeavor. Still, nothing is gained by me speculating about that anyway, because I'll still end up with one. Just like I still have a phone and still use the internet.
