Yeah, it usually means that something came up that night or I didn't finish homework as early as I thought I would.

I was going to be in Pittsburgh tonight, but I got a text saying we indeed do have classes tonight, so I drove back to my dorm for the night. If I didn't have classes, I planned on going to Duquesne and not remembering the night, lol.
Anyways, update tomorrow.

The Perfect Storm
Campus was absolutely crazy after our win against TCU. Parties were everywhere you looked all night and the ones I did stop into, I was greeted with thunderous applause and drinks on the house. However, Britt and I passed on them and made our way to my apartment where we had our own celebration that dragged on past sunrise.
A Sunday that consisted of sleeping all day quickly turned into a cloudy Monday with a light practice as the only thing on my schedule. Half an hour into it, the sky opened up and brought the first snow of the winter season. We continued to practice through it and by the time we were done and changed, the snow was starting to lay on the ground.
Myself, Ryan and Lavar decided to make a food run and drove to the cafeteria on campus. After waiting in line and getting a chicken bacon ranch sub, we sat down at a table in front of one of the plasma TV's, where the local news was informing everyone about the snow conditions.
I took a look outside to see the snow falling even harder. Quickly eating so I didn't have be stuck here for the night, I started walking to the exit while looking to see if Britt texted me. However, my path got cut off when I ran into a familiar face in front of me...
"Sorry," I apologized before realizing who it was. "Oh, hi Mel."
She looked in my direction, but didn't really acknowledge who I was. Before I knew it, she started walking out to her car as I watched from a window inside.
...
"Shit," she cursed. "My car won't start."
...
I saw her sit in her car for a little longer than usual, so I walked out into the storm and knocked on her car window. She pointed to her passenger seat, which meant that I could come inside and talk to her.
"Thanks," I said as I shut the door behind me. "Car won't start?"
"Yeah," she replied. "It's been giving me problems because of the weather. I really don't want to be stuck here tonight and I don't want to call up one of my girls to drive out in this mess."
"Well, I could give you a ride to my place," I suggested. "I know you don't want to have anything to do with me, but at least it gets you away from here."
She pondered the option and then sighed because there was no other choice. "I guess so."
...
The drive back to my apartment was quiet as Melyssa sat in the passenger seat, staring out the window with her arms folded. Once we got to the complex and eventually out of the cold, she sat her purse on the table and walked around the noticeably empty rooms.
"Everything seems so bare," she stated.
"Well I wonder why that is," I shot back under my breath.
She looked around a little more before deciding to sit on the couch. As I sat down on the other side, she asked, "how have you been?"
"Pretty good," I replied without trying to give a hint that I missed her. "Obviously football has gone well, but classes are alright too. How about you? How's Sean Joseph?"
"I've been okay," she said. "And Sean Joseph misses you. Maybe we can schedule some play dates or something so he can see his father again." I smiled at the thought and I swore I saw a little smile from her too, which made me have some faith that this situation could eventually be resolved.
I decided that this would be the best time to talk about the situation. I cleared my throat and prepared for the worst, but hoped for the best.
"So what exactly went on that night you left?"
"The better question is, why didn't you tell me about you and Rebecca?"
"Well..."
"Please Ethan, all I want is the truth."
"Okay. Remember when I met you and said that Rebecca was pissed at me?"
"Yeah, she said something about having an abortion because of you impregnating her."
"Yes, that happened years ago..."
"Wait, that wasn't recent?" I then knew that Rebecca just tried to mess with our relationship and that either she still cared about me or still had an vengeance against Mel...or both.
"No it wasn't. I'm guessing she told you that?"
"Yeah, she said something about meeting up with you when you visited South Carolina's campus."
"I didn't even know she went there, so I couldn't have been looking for her. Plus she found me, not the other way around. She lied to you Mel, and you let her gossip get to you and damage our relationship."
I could see a tear fall from her eye and quickly wiped it from dropping off her cheek. There we were staring into each others eyes, reminiscing on our just recent past together and knew we needed one another. A long kiss brought fireworks between us and as our lips loosened, she gave me a seductive look that hinted on taking our kiss a little farther. I nodded my head up and down and she took me by the hand into my bedroom. While walking, I looked at my phone to see I had a new message from Britt.
"I won't be able to come out tonight because of the snow. Sorry."
I marked it as read, threw my phone on the couch and went off to enjoy my long "apology" from Mel.

The way I see it, youve got four options.
1. You play it right and get Mel and your kid back.
2. You play it wrong and get Britt.
3. You play it way wrong and lose both girls and your kid.
4. You play it Shakespearean, play it way wrong, lose everyone, fall into a pit of homicidal despair, you off both Mel and Britt and head to South Carolina on a search for Rebecca's bitch ass. You find her, but first off her bf Garcia cause he's at her place. You find her on campus and take her out, making a quick getaway and escaping into exile. Sean Joseph grows up with the sole purpose of tracking you down and killing you. At the age of 18, he attends Cuse rival UConn to spite you. He goes big in their football matchup, going over the 200 yards receiving mark. After leading the basketball team to a dominating win of the Orange, you come out of the stands to congratulate him. He proceeds to shank you with the kife he hides on himself at all times. He wins both the Heisman (the first freshman to ever do so) and the NCAA Basketball Player of the Year (the first person to ever win both) your two dreams. After receiving both awards, he realizes that the awards and accolades mean nothing to him and kills himself after falling into a deep depression. The End.
My guess, you try to get Mel to come back to you but dont mention Britt. This creates yet another fiasco of this sort which leads to Mel again not being able to trust you. Because of that, and you once again choosing Mel over Britt despite being in a quasi-relationship with Britt, you lose her too. However, by the end of your senior year, you have a Heisman wedding and live happily ever after.Comment

Frozen
Louisville Cardinals (3-6) at Syracuse Orange (6-5)
After Monday's unplanned visit from Mel, I felt the need to tell Britt about everything. However, when she came over the next day, the words were never spoken and I suddenly had myself in a predicament with two beautiful women wanting to be with me. It's not exactly a bad situation to be in, but when you have a kid and were formerly engaged with the one, it definitely makes things awkward. To make it worse, I developed some feelings for Britt that I couldn't describe, but with Mel taking three night classes this semester, I decided that it would a little easier to balance time between the two.
But with all the confusion in my life on the relationship field, I found a place of peace when I stepped on that football field Saturday. Being in the dome and not out in the Arctic outside, I was excited because there was finally no pressure since we were going bowling. I could go out and have fun, and for the first quarter that's exactly what I did.
Three catches in the first quarter - including a 13 yard touchdown - helped raise my expectations for the rest of the game. I was looking for another double-digit catch effort and with 13:21 left in the second quarter, I had catch number four coming my way.
...
"Nassib drops back, hits Woy on the slant...wow! The ball's jarred loose after junior Daniel Brown's vicious hit and the referees are calling it incomplete. Oh man, this isn't good...Woy's still down and I haven't seen any movement."
...
And that's when everything went blank...
Syracuse 28
Louisville 21
3 catches, 49 yards, 1 TD
