Return to the Glory Days: An Indiana Hoosiers Dynasty
Bloomington, IN - Indiana absolutely dominated this game. It wasn't even a close match. From the beginning, you could tell that Eastern Kentucky was going to lose. Badly. But no one expected the kind of game that the Hoosiers played today.
The team that showed up today was a motivated team. A team just like the team of 2007. A team just like the teams of the 80s. A team just like the team that won Indiana's only Big 10 Championship. Yeah, they were that good.
From the opening kickoff, you could see that they wanted to win. They came ready to play. From the moment that they marched on to the field, you could see that they wanted to kill every single one of the EKU's players. Everyone single one. And it showed on the first play of the game, as 2 sacks and a deflected pass forced Eastern Kentucky to punt the ball. And from there, the game turned ugly. On the first play from scrimmage, Ben Chappell hooked up with Ray Fisher for a 42 yard touchdown pass. Then, on the 2nd play of Eastern Kentucky's possesion, Will Patterson picked off a pass and took it to the house. 14-0.
Said Coach Thompson after the game, "At that point, I was doing everything I could not to put up 100 points on these guys. Every single run, pass, and QB Draw was going for 15-20 yards. We couldn't be stopped." Replied the EKU coach, "We suck ass, all right? Who gives a s***! We only played this game for the money. Cuz ya know, we get payed to play in games like this. And in this economy, any money is good money."
Indiana faces a tougher opponent next week in Western Michigan. Let's hope we can put on the same performance that we had today.
This might help or it might not, I am very new at photoshop but this is what I do with images. Here is what I do.
When I complete images I first save them has PSD.
Then I open up a back new all white background that is the size I want it to appear, then I use the Place command and place the image on top the background and then go ahead and save as a jpeg.
Hopefully it helps but sorry if it does not because I am not super good at photoshop.
i don't have photoshop, lol. i use paint.....crap
it also helps if i make the words non-bolded. that makes it less fuzzy, but still weird.
Bloomington, IN - In one of the closest games in recent IU history, the Hoosiers scrapped out a close victory over the Western Michigan Broncos, despite injuries and countless turnovers.
The game started out like last game (almost exactly like last game) with the Hoosiers ending the first quarter up 14-7. But the 2nd quarter spelled disaster for the Hoosiers, as Bryan Payton got injured and will be out for 4 weeks, Ben Chappell couldn't complete a pass, and the offense as a whole struggled. But somehow, the Hoosiers managed to stay ahead, leading at the half 17-10. But the 2nd half would be just as bad, and the Hoosiers weren't sure if they could manage to win.
The 3rd quarter, everything went wrong on the offensive side of the ball. Chappell had 3 interceptions, Demetrius McCray fumbled twice, and the offensive line struggled. But the defense had their strongest quarter of the season, and held the Broncos to just a field goal.
The 4th quarter was tough on the Hoosiers. With just over a minute to go, Tim Hiller connected with Ansel Ponder in the end zone to put The Broncos up 20-17. But on the ensuing kickoff, Duwyce Wilson caught the ball, broke a few tackles, and charged into the end zone to give IU the go-ahead score. With the extra point made, IU had the lead (and the win) 24-20.
Said Coach Thompson after the game. "It was a tight one, but the best teams know how to win in close games. And I feel that this IU team as the potential to be a great team."
Next week, IU hopes to keep this winning streak alive against Akron.
