What I'm doing is just uploading the 3 pictures as soon as I finish the game, then I upload the 4th while I'm doing the game update itself. That way, the EASW system sits for a while. It only doesn't upload when I try and upload 3, save them, then immediately try to upload a 4th.

Definitely an update tonight. Maybe 2

            Recruits Favoring New Schools

Bloomington, IN - A few years ago, if you asked high school football players where they wanted to play in college, most of them will name Florida, Texas, or USC as the top places to go. But since Anthony Thompson has taken over as Indiana's head coach, the tides have turned and now Indiana is the hot spot for recruits.

Last week, Thompson and his staff at Indiana University landed two top-notch recruits: Graham Carroll (5 star MLB) and Peter Holmes (4 star DT). This week, they add three more recruits to that list: Jonathan Peterson (5 star SS), Tyler Thomas (4 star ATH), and Nate Morgan (4 star HB).

Peterson, the 2nd rated Strong Safety according to Rivals.com--and the #7 recruit overall--picked Indiana because of the lack of depth at the position. "They are a winning program and they have no one to play Safety next year," he said after his decision. "I can go to Indiana, make an immediate impact on defense, and still play for one of the best teams in the nation." According to his father, Cal Peterson (he was an linebacker in the NFL during the 1970's and 80's), Jonathan hadn't even considered Indiana until he saw that there was no one was going to play his position next season. "If he couldn't be the clear-cut starter his freshman year, he wasn't going to go to that school," said Cal. "Do you know what his other choices were? Wabash, Western Kentucky, Michigan Tech, and North Texas. When Indiana came calling, he almost immediately committed to the Hoosiers." Whatever the reason, Peterson will certainly be a 4-year starter at Indiana starting next season.

The second recruit, Tyler Thomas, is the 10th rated Athlete according to Rivals.com and ESPN.com. In high school, he played quarterback, running back, wide receiver, corner back, and punter. "That's why I'm labeled as an 'athlete'," he said on Monday. "I can play almost any position, and I picked Indiana because the coaches will give me the freedom to place myself where I think I'll be the biggest asset to the team."

The final recruit was Nate Morgan, a four star half back from Dover, Delaware. Surprisingly, even though he was the 98th rated recruit (Rivals.com), he was the best half back in the nation this year. In fact, during last year's Under Armor All-American game, he ran for 218 yards on 16 carries and 3 touchdowns. He didn't get player of the game honors though. "I definitely got snubbed," he said, "but I think I can make up for it by being the future star of the Indiana football program."

Indiana has at least 10 or 15 recruits still interested in going there next fall, so it will be interesting to see how well Anthony Thompson does the rest of the season.

              Indiana vs Iowa: Game Preview

(AP) - Indiana, rated #8 in the country, is playing confidently right now after their convincing win over the #18 Wisconsin Badgers. This week, they head down to Iowa to face the fading Iowa Hawkeyes. Since their 10-2 season in 2009, they have fallen to 5-7 and 3-9 the past two seasons. With only 2 wins so far this year, they hope to start winning this week. "We need to turn this goddamn ship around, and this week is the perfect time to do that," said assistant coach Jon Fitzek, who is looking to leave the Hawkeyes after this year in search of a head coaching position.

Even though Iowa wants to keep up with the Hoosiers and make an exciting game, it looks as if the Hawkeyes are going to be run over by the Hoosiers. Nevertheless, here are our "Keys to the Game" for both teams.

What Indiana Needs to Do to Win: Offense
The Hoosiers's quarterback, Jammone Chester, really needs to step up this game. Iowa has the 28th rushing defense in the country, and we figure that Deleon Eskridge will be shut down most of the game. So it's up to Jammone Chester to make things happen for the Hoosiers offense. If he passes for over 150 yards and 2 touchdowns, Indiana should be fine.

What Indiana Needs to Do to Win: Defense
Nothing. Iowa's offense is so bad that Indiana will have absolutely no trouble with them. They need to hold the Hawkeyes to under 1000 yards passing and 800 yards rushing to win.

              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What Iowa Needs to Do to Win: Offense
In reality, they won't be able to do anything the entire game. But for Iowa's sake, we'll give them a chance and tell them what they need to do to win. First off, they need to establish the ground game early. Most teams can run worth shit against the Hoosiers, but maybe Iowa will have a great day and find some big holes. In the passing game, they need to run clean, crisp routes and get open. Indiana has a dominating group of corner backs, and it will take some pretty good fakes and routes to throw them off.

What Iowa Needs to Do to Win: Defense
I'm not even going to put anything. There is no way to stop the Hoosiers offense. No one has all year, and it looks like no one will the rest of the year either. They will have to force turnovers, stop the run, stop the pass, and keep Indiana to 3rd and longs. Penalties against the Hoosiers would be a plus as well, but they are the least penalized team in the nation. But Jammone Chester is known to have some off-days, and if he isn't on target tomorrow, Iowa could actually hang with the Hoosiers and possibly win the game.

              PREDICTED SCORE: INDIANA - 38, IOWA - 3

                      Alexander's Hustle Sparks Hoosiers Win

Bloomington, IN - He had 14 tackles. He had 4 sacks. He had 7 tackles for loss. He played 2 quarters.

Tim Alexander, who leads Indiana in all of the above defensive categories, injured his arm in the first quarter. He had already recorded 8 tackles and a sack, but the injury wasn't serious. He came back in the 3rd quarter, and on his first three defensive plays he had 3 sacks. "I was on fire," said Alexander. "No one could stop me. I played like I was possessed with some godly football spirit."

He showed today why he is an early candidate for the Chuck Bednarik Award (annually awarded to the top defensive player in the nation). When Alexander was on the sidelines because of his injury, the Iowa Hawkeyes recorded 218 total yards of offense and a touchdown. When Alexander was playing, the Hoosiers held the Hawkeyes to a measly 21 rushing yards. "The whole atmosphere of the game changed when [Tim Alexander] was in the game," said head coach Anthony Thompson. "In my opinion, he is the top linebacker in the NCAA, and I would be surprised if he sticks around for his junior year. He's that good."

Alexander and the defense weren't the only people who stepped up their play today; the Hoosiers offense was spectacular. Jammone Chester completed all of his passes (13-13) for 285 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Deleon Eskridge ran for 121 yards on 11 carries and 2 touchdowns, and the offensive line gave up no sacks for the first time in two years. "We were unstoppable today, and it showed by the way our offense performed," said backup quarterback Teddy Schell, who went 5-6 for 53 yards after Thompson pulled all the starters out of the game.

Indiana, currently ranked #8 in the nation, hopes to crack the top 5 with today's dominating performance.

All right, here's the plan: I am about to start making the National Mid-season report, and after I get that up I'll do the Indiana Mid-season report. That will probably be all of the updates for today, but if I'm in a good mood maybe I'll do an around the NCAA update
