just 2 or 3 days after it aired. normally i avoid all sorts of discussion and especially this thread before i watch a new episode but i did not expect to see it on the front page of yahoo
A lot of places were pretty slapdash with their spoilers last week. I fully believe that once it has been on, search at your own risk, but you'd hope that these places would at least bury them in a story with some warning. Literally just searching for episode 2 would have the first few results with the ending right there on the link.

didn't like the Jaime scene. was surprised I liked Danny's despite them leaving out Strong. The Hound is creating a badass foundation for Arya's future development. Shouldn't Cersei suspect her father in Joff's death at least a little? The thought should have crossed her mind after that convo with Tommen

I don't remember it being so rapey from the books, but looking back it's quite rapey. My friend put it best "In the books it's like no no no no yes yes" in the show it was like "no no no ok""

Yeah I think the televised depiction made it a little too ambiguous that Cersei was into it. Her protests of "not here" in the book read more as "this is too public a place our father might see this" not really that she felt #repulsed by the idea.

But there's a lot of nuance and #layers we are missing with the TV version in general. Guess it's just a shortcoming of the medium.

I think so. It's personally why I would have left the thing out entirely, or cut it off at Jaime just basically calling her a bitch. It's too difficult a scene to do IMO, without making the supposedly on the path of redemption Jaime just seem like kind of a raper.

I think that the book benefited from the fact that it was from Jaime's POV too. In this, being on the outside looking in just made Jaime feel like a bit of a creep.

Incestuous raper violating the sanctity of a church while the dead corpse of your product of previous incest rots next to you. Just a gross scene on multiple levels.

Word has circulated back in Westeros for a while now. The Spider has been getting information from across the pond since the beginning. Most just think its hogwash.

Rumors of dragons have been circulating in every port by now. Qarth is a huge port city so by now any sailors that were docked there when Dany had her show and tell would have started making their way around the world. The slave revolution in Astapor generated a lot of press as well.

Yeah, but I remember him initially rejecting the idea, guess he was just off screen when he did accept it.

A map of Westeros and the rest of the known world in Game of Thrones and the Song of Ice & Fire novels. Mark how much of the TV show or novels you've seen to prevent seeing any spoilers. See the path of major characters over time.
