What's the Last Movie You Watched?

They recently put it on Netflix for streaming.

I got a terrible dub on a dollar DVD along with my copy of The Street Fighter (Sonny Chiba film) from a local Party City.

Full frame, English dubbed (I use the word English sparingly as there's American English, English English, Cockney English and Australian English used... all interchangably by all characters ), looks like someone copied over from a VHS tape to a blank DVD.

Luckily, it's directed/choreographed by Jackie Chan so it's the good kind of terrible.

The Bridge on the River Kwai - Excellent film. I have to say that one thing that really distinguishes some of older films such as this and Lawrence of Arabia are the scores that go along with them. Great work all around on this movie.

I liked it. At first I thought it was going to be one of those "ehh" films but everything tied in nicely at the end and I came away really liking it.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Pilgrim was an asshole that didn't deserve a chick as awesome as Knives Chau / 10

Solid movie and it seemed to be right in my wheelhouse, but I simply didn't like Scott Pilgrim or Ramona Flowers. Pilgrim for obvious reasons and Flowers didn't seem like she was worth all the trouble.

Chau > Flowers all day every day.

The Rock shooting the people responsible for his brother's death while driving a cool muscle car.

7/10... 8.5/10 if you have a beer handy.

 

The two endings could have been edited together but the damn test audiences didn't want to see the hired assassin trying to kill The Rock die.

"Killer"'s storyline is based on the idea that he's only doing his job for the thrill of it, nothing more; to have The Rock kill him means that the guy learned that there's an eventual price to pay if all you do is kill people.

Also, the Alternative ending left open the idea of the Killer's wife going after The Rock if the guy isn't captured by the cops for killing Billy Bob Thorton.

...maybe the nightclub bouncer's son who The Rock calls also?

LOL. This movie so bad and it was obviously sponsored by Nintendo. I've always known about this movie and its odd I didn't see it in my teen years.
