I think the Giants need to seriously consider the "Giants way" then, or at least trash the entire staff besides Coughlin. If I'm a fan, I'd be livid if no action was taken. Obviously INT thrown by Manning are not Coughlin's fault, but poor challenge calls, ouch, that will do it.

The thing is, it's not the Giants way to keep a coach onboard for a lame duck season. Last time everybody wanted him fired after 2006, they gave him that one-year extension and let him prove himself in '07. We know how that worked out, but I don't see them giving any type of extension after 2 back-to-back collapses with no playoffs.

The Giants will either give him an extension or cut him loose.

Well, Rocky Bernard has been a waste of money and Linval Joseph has barely played.

At DE, once Kiwanuka went down...it went to Tuck/Osi/JPP.

Keep 'em coming. With Cofield in a contract year, they may have a big need at DT.

Stockpile em fatties/pass rushers even more.

              You got this wrong jeff.

It's not the Giants way to let coaches coach on their final year of their contract (which is the 2011 season). They will either fire or extend his contract before next season.

You guys that want Coughlin fired are out of your fucking mind. We have a top 5 coach in the league that has won us a super bowl (And if you think Coughlin didn't play a big role in that SB run your fucking nuts, he did everything right i.e playing the starters vs. the Pats in wk 17). After the absolutely sickening Tennessee game did you guys think we were gonna make the playoffs? I sure didn't. At 1-2 it looked like the season was going to turn into a terrible down spin. Instead, we go on a 5 game win streak and become one of the best teams in the NFC.

A coach doesn't turn the ball over 41 times in 15 games. The players need to be held accountable for such despicable turnovers.

As for the retarded comment by Youk, who should really not be allowed to post in the NFL forum, challenges are not the problem (especially when Coughlin has one of the best challenges record in the history of replay). Did you just pull that comment strictly out of your ass?

You guys really want Cowher? Who basically has the same exact resume as Coughlin except hasn't coached in 5 years? Not me that's for sure.

And those that want Perry Fewel gone (tardDave), I ask why? Are we that spoiled? Do we fire first-year coaches over 5 bad quarters? No. Jesus Christ does anybody remember the long terrible Tim Lewis era? Up until the Eagles collapse we had one of the best and most feared defenses in the league. Fewel has been great this season and I'm not gonna let a game and a quarter change my mind. The difference between this years and last years D is huge. Sheridan got exposed in Week 6 against the Saints and the defense was torn apart the rest of the season. Fewel has brought back the Giants D that we know and love to watch.

We are seriously a false start, a Kenny Phillips tackle, or an onside recovery away from winning our division and maybe even having a first round bye. For me personally, I don't want to fire our coaches due to one 7 minute debacle.

Except Tom Quinn, that fucker has to go.

Thank you. Think about this - the Giants are 9-6 WITH those turnovers! They could be serious contenders if they could just clean that shit it - so fucking frustrating.

                  sigh

I hope we keep Coughlin and Fewell though....fire the players who can't hold on to the ball, miss assignments and can't tackle

                        We're fucked.

Though O'Hara shouldn't have been playing in the first place.

Giants don't deserve the playoffs. Their season ended against the Eagles.

exactly. 2 games to get into the playoffs and they fuck it up both times. giants had their chance and blew it. i came to terms with the fact the season was officially over after jacobs fumble in the packers game.

Bob Papa has been on a bunch of radio shows over the past few days and when asked about the potential change in coaches, he doesn't see it. According to him, both the players and management are behind Coughlin.

I guess barring the unthinkable on Sunday (they come out and get trounced), Coughlin will get an extension.
