Otto? As a QB maybe....As a football player yes. He did play defense too. Starr only played on offense. Oh those tricky 40's-50's QB's that also played DB. I think he had a year or two with around 5 ints on defense. Gotta love Otto.

Not sure what you're trying to prove with this. He had a couple of bad games against one of the best defenses in NFL history then had a rare choke against the Vikings in a season most consider to be the best 49ers teams statistically in NFL history in '87. Manning and Brady had bad games, they just weren't in succession. They were spread out with some good games between the bad ones.

Brett Favre is synonymous with INT.
I cant imagine anyone picking him as there playoff QB. Worst great QB Ive ever seen in big moments. A decade of consistently screwing his team over for no reason other than him trying to show off his arm. Many of those games the INTs were absolutely needless throws.

No clue how Starr would do but Id pick him in "one game" or "one drive" situation based only on my inability to imagine how any big name QB could do worse when his team needs him most.

At least Marino had the dignity to throw his picks in the 1st and 2nd quarters. GB fans had to endure his one man exits over and over. I dont care whether or not his teams were good enough. Not an excuse. Your teams good enough to get you swollen regular season stats and a playoff game theyre good enough to keep you from throwing bad passes against many of the same teams you faced earlier that year.

Favre is a top 15 all time QB no question not taking away from his MVPs and 90s performances. But if you ranked the top 20-25 all time...and let me pick who I want to lead my guys in a big game. Favre would likely be dead last.
Best reason to have a license.

You're constantly defending a pill popping alcoholic who holds his team hostage every offseason, stopped working out 4 years ago, sucks horribly at the moment, and texts unsolicited pictures of his dong to girls 20 years younger than him that aren't his wife ....

and I'm the asshole? I'd say Brett's the asshole, but that's just me not having his cock in my mouth.

Must not be very good at it since nobody in this entire thread has said he is the GOAT. Maybe you could give some pointers?

Yep, I think it's an undervalued point in these discussions.

In the top flight QB's I've witnessed first hand, (all of the 90's and 00's) none of them gave away games because of stupidity/selfishness/whateveryouwannacallit like Favre did....and Favre does it often.

I've seen Brady/Manning play more than any of the great QB's I've seen in my day and I can't think of one instance where either QB, in a key moment of a game, roll out to a side and wing one over the middle hoping to win the lotto. Yet, I could put a highlight reel together of Brett Favre doing shit like that.

Brady/Manning do play aggressive, do take chances and let their playmakers try and make plays. You don't have the success/numbers these guys have posted without doing it. But they also understood game situations, understood that sometimes the risk isn't worth it all the time, etc. Favre never showed this was relevant to him and I really hold that against him when I try and rank these QB's among each other.

As I've said earlier, isn't winning everything in football? So shouldn't the factors of a QB's play in regards to winning, be most important?

Championships are more of a team accomplishment, but general winning and winning consistently really have much to do with how well a QB plays to win. Brady and Manning are winners. Favre is not a winner.

He's 188-113 as a starter in the regular season and 13-11 in the playoffs. He broke Elway's all time win record in fewer games. The Packers won more games than any team in the league during his 16 years as a starter there.

You don't like him, that's fine and even understandable. But to say he isn't a winner is going to be hard to back up.

Poor choice of words on my part.

He's not a winner like Brady and Manning are winners.

He's a loser when Brady and Manning are not.
