Because you cherry picked a bunch of arbitrary stats & dumb shit like "4 vs 1" to make whatever shitty point you were making. Nobody is biting on that nonsense.

Anybody can go cherry pick a bunch of numbers that favor Manning to make the opposite point.

"Manning has more passing yards. 1-0. Manning has more TD's. 2-0."

Plus, you STILL don't understand how normalized statistics work. Manning's numbers are better than Montana's, even when adjusted for era.

If you are going to use hard facts & numbers, the one & only thing Montana has a clear edge on Manning at this point is 4 SB wins vs 1. That's it. Manning has better adjusted numbers, far far superior total numbers, and there is a negligible difference in the playoff stats if you are being fair about things.

Soon, the only thing left to cling to will be the 4 SB's, because Manning is likely never getting there.

yet he is going to his 3rd which in itself is hard as heck to do.

the fact Montana won all 4 is mere percentage points of argument

At this point I'm convinced that if Manning's neck forces him to throw passes by tossing them in the air and batting them forward towards his receiver he'd still find a way to complete 60% of them.

I just don't want to see Brock Osweiler under center for my team... ever.

I can agree with both sentiments. Manning's arm strength isn't great at all anymore, he's basically Ecksteining every pass but always manages to get just enough on it. Howevah, I'd take a wheelchair bound Peyton over a fully healthy Osweiler.

Starr was a 17th round draft choice of the Green Bay Packers in 1956. Three years later, his playing time was still limited and his football future appeared in doubt. That’s when Vince Lombardi took over as the Packers coach, an event that may have saved Bart's NFL career. Lombardi, in tireless study of films, found that he liked Bart's mechanics, his arm, his ball-handling techniques and, most of all, his decision-making abilities. Under Vince's careful nurturing, Starr gained the confidence to become one of the NFL's great field leaders. By 1960, Starr led Green Bay to the Western Division championship, the first in a long string of successes for Starr and the Packers. From 1960 through 1967, Bart's "won-lost record" was a sizzling 62-24-4 and the Packers won six divisional, five NFL, and the first two Super Bowl championships. Although Starr seemed to receive minimal personal recognition for the team’s successes, knowledgeable football men knew who was making the Packers click. He was the perfect quarterback for his team. Because it was a balanced attack that he led, Starr's passes were limited – remarkably, he never threw as many as 300 passes in any one season. This may have helped to create the illusion that he was only an average passer. The statistics, of course, do not bear this out. Starr held several NFL passing records, including the lifetime record of completing 57.4 percent of his passes over a 16-year period. He led the league in passing three times. He was the NFL's Most Valuable Player in 1966. He won MVP honors in both Super Bowls I and II. Bart was at his best in his many postseason appearances. After their first title loss to Philadelphia in 1960, the Packers never lost another playoff game under Starr. - See more at: http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/me....OjYjEj1G.dpuf

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? i used the same stats that you used as reason as to why manning is better. I used your own arguement against you pizza boy and now your crying that the same stats you used are arbitrary and pointless....lmao

                      .
ORLY? what about the 16-7 playoff record over Mannings 11-11?
what about the 95 Rating Montana has over Manning 91? Oh that right, these are the stats you posted to prove a point, but they are now arbitrary because you were proven wrong.

negligable difference between play stats? i guess holding almost every SB record doesnt matter because manning failed to get there enough to be relevant.

Peyton Manning has said the exact opposite. He said if his neck is fine then he is coming back next season. Unless he changed his mind and I missed something?

He's too much of a football junkie to just quit. Hell, if he wins the Super Bowl and passes his medical, he's calling his backup right guard (not Andy Levitre) and discusses audibles. With the rules in place now (so in favour of the offence), Manning could legitimately play another five years ... and this guy loves football so much. Frankly, I think he could pull a Jason Kidd and become a head coach the second he retires.

Peyton Manning's football future will be determined by the results of a March physical on his four-time surgically repaired neck.

Assuming the exam shows Manning's neck is stable, he will resume his career. If increased risk of injury is shown, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Manning "will be forced to decide whether to retire." Manning has made it clear he wants to keep playing in 2014 regardless of whether the Broncos win the Super Bowl. Manning turns 38 on March 24. Asked in his post-game press conference late Sunday if he was already thinking about the exam, Peyton quipped "The only thing weighing on my mind is how soon I can get a Bud Light in my mouth."
