its about how some people think he is the GOAT and completely disregard his failures in the big games. the biggest measure of a players greatness is how he performs in the big games. Manning does not play well in those games which is why he isnt the greatest of all time.
He's gone to three Super Bowls. If you tell me none of those games leading up to the Super Bowls aren't "big" and can back them up, then I'll probably change my viewpoint, but I bet you can't.

Peyton Manning in his prime wasn't beating Seattle last night.

This legacy talk is so stupid. The man is a Top 3 QB of all-time.. win or loss last night that wasn't changing.

Really? 100 yds and 2 ints in the first half? With a 40ish QB rating for the entire game? Only 8 points on offense? Sorry, I disagree with "quite well"?

Top 3 I would say so. I just don't believe he's GOAT. I wouldn't call someone crazy if they believed it. I just wouldn't have him as number 1 all time.

And congrats on the Seattle SB win Hass. This was one SB I didn't mind who won. Wanted Manning to get his second, but Seattle has two pretty good ties to Wisco with Wilson and your GM.

Really? The Thomas fumble was Manning's fault? The terrible O-line was his fault? Manning played well, his team played like shit and made it look like Manning played like shit when he really didn't.

He played terribly. The majority of his completions were under 10 yards and A LOT under 5 yards.

Yes. Damn Peyton for throwing to his only options.

and considering how and what he did and got 280 yards for it..thats not a negative..thats someone doing the absolute most that he can in a bad situation..something only greats can do.

Thats really really weak. It's like when people said Kevin Kolb played well in place of Vick in 2010 and lost 17-12 to Washington. I know the Seahawks defense is good but I think he may have thrown maybe 5 passes deeper than 10 yards. It was pathetic - from start to finish. If you don't take any shots at all then you've already given up.

The receivers weren't open deep, why would you expect him to go there often?

Take a shot towards Demaryius deep. Decker was covered by Sherman for most of the game so Demaryius was lined up against Byron Maxwell. Run more deep routes instead of 5 yard drags all game. Thats not gonna beat Seattle. They could have tried a number of things but they didn't, I'll rewatch the game but I'd have to say maybe 75% of his passes had to be 5 yards and shorter downfield. Your excuse is cliche and just that, an excuse. when they tried to throw it deeper Demaryius actually made a catch (where he fumbled). But that was one of the only times they actually tried to push the ball downfield and what do you know it worked. Rest of the game was loaded with underneath routes and screens all game long.

Oh ok. I'm sorry, you're right, Manning should have passed to those covered receivers, right? 5 interceptions doesn't matter if he's at least making the attempts!

Thats totally what I said. I'm saying the playcall was incredibly shitty and they never tried anything deeper than 5 yards downfield and when they did it wasn't intercepted they actually got yards before Demaryius fumbled. Peyton clearly has input on the playcall too. If Peyton doesn't want to run drags and screens all game then he doesn't...

No, you're saying Manning should have passed to those covered receivers and "taken a chance" at throwing a pick. "He played terribly. The majority of his completions were under 10 yards and A LOT under 5 yards." - Sounds like your blaming his choice to throw short.
