The score certainly does not show it, but the Lions are dominating us on both sides.

Pros:
-Pierre Garcon continues to perform well as the #1 receiver, constantly being targeted when a catch needs to be made. Very worth the money we spent last year.
-I'll give BumAngelo Hall some credit. He did get a pick-six, and he "held" Calvin Johnson to seven catches for 116 yards. The rest of the secondary was blown up, but at least Hall did his job and forced other players to beat them.
-Ryan Kerrigan continues to be the star of the defense. If we didn't have him, this defense would be much worse, not that it would take much statistically.
-We also cut down on penalties (six for 45 yards) and beat the Lions in Time of Possession. Still lost, but those are two small victories to take from this game.
Cons
-RGIII's passed looks a little more crisp, but he fumbled the ball three times and threw an interception. One thing is for sure, we did not see that last year. He's been careless with the football, but that's probably due to him being more concerned about the knee than anything else. Still, we can't have the turnovers hanging over us and losing yards because of it.
-The rest of the secondary got blown up by receivers not named Calvin Johnson. Amerson did a solid job, but we just don't have the depth to compete with the weapons that teams can bring.
-Aldrick Robinson, you've got to make that catch. It was put in a spot where you had the play on it, but ended up dropping it. He's got the speed to get separation on those routes, but the catch has to be made. We might be looking at a different game if that happens.Comment

Looks like Hankerson is trending away from Morgan as the starting receiver opposite Garcon, which is very surprising considering Morgan's blocking ability as a receiver is one of the best in the league.
Rambo also demoted, which I think should have happened from the start. Doughty and Merweather should be starting, with Rambo replacing Doughty on obvious passing downs and also serving as an extra DB when called on.
We also have a huge test against the Oakland Raiders and their rushing attack. I am encouraged by how we played against the Lions, and this is a game for our defense to at least get some confidence back. I hope we win, but until I hear more about Pryor and if/how much he plays, I'm withholding a prediction.Comment

he plays FS and HB.
when we got home, we watched the 2nd half.
it was ugly. they had chances to put up a more points than they did. this was after the Raiders lost McFadden too
i still dont see this all being a result of RGIII.....guys arent making plays.
the benching of Davis didnt hurt at all but Paulsen fumble on a long 3rd down conversion did.
losing Morris for the day could have been worse until Helu made 2 big plays....the Hurdle and the TD run.
kerrigan and orakpo presence is starting to be known. they are key to our pass rush and stopping the outside runs.
amerson is starting to make some plays as you are aware of our 1st TD that day......ran it in on a DEF INT.
we are hurting in safety deep ball positions...doughty was out there all 2nd half. not much of threat there
anyway; our division is so bad right now; i honestly think we can take the division.
we need to come out in week 6, healthy, smarter, stronger and with desire....like after last year bye.
we need some big adjustments that will change everything.....like last year. as in the Pistol
maybe a new defensive formation/scheme??
we will know by week 10 where we going. (week 9 was last years bye)

* SNF: that was a fumble!! "passive"?? "judgement call"?? its either he was engaged in blocking or he wasnt
that was also a turning point and break that the Redskins needed to get pumped up.
* cant only have one WR as a target all game guys. Garcon is good but he is no Megatron.
* defense is looking better and with some of those crazy blitz schemes they were using, it may be the only thing that kept us that game.
* Special teams
c"mon guys.......do something after you let fucker hurt you the 1st time. like kick out of bounds ??
so; we are 1 - 4 now.
considering that we werent much worse or much better last season at 3-6 before making an incredible run to the NFC East;
the Bears (home), Broncos (away), Chargers (home), then Vikings (away).....we could be very well be 3-6 again.
we need to win the next 2 home games and hope dallas and eagles have a tough weeks ahead of them.
i am also glad that i didnt pay for Giants, Chiefs and Dallas tickets yet

What does everyone think our offseason needs are? Personally here is what I would rank them
CB
ILB

DE
OT
backup QB
So basically the same as last yearComment
