Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth returned to the game in the third quarter Sunday after injuring his hip in the first half.

Haynesworth was carted off with the first-half injury, but the fact that he was cleared to return is a good sign after the hip appeared to be hurt badly

Jason Campbell completed 27-of-41 passes for 340 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in Week 3 against the Lions. He also scrambled once for 21.

The key part of the above line is against the Lions, whose secondary is somehow now worse than their run defense, but Campbell showed that his foot sprain wouldn't be an issue and finally hooked up with Santana Moss deep. Campbell remains no more than a QB2. He plays the Buccaneers in

Santana Moss caught 10 balls for 178 yards and a touchdown in the Redskins' 19-14 loss to Detroit on Sunday.

So much for Moss losing a step. He smoked three Lions defensive backs down the right sideline on his 57-yard touchdown bomb in the third quarter, and no one could stay with him anywhere on the field. It's too bad the Skins don't play Detroit every week. Moss will try to keep it going next week against the Buccaneers, whose safety play has been nearly as poor.

Malcolm Kelly caught just one ball for 18 yards in Week 3.

His experiment as a starter isn't going as planned, but it isn't like Devin Thomas (one catch, seven yards Sunday) is pushing hard for playing time. Kelly is an intriguing enough talent to monitor, but won't help your fantasy team.

Clinton Portis managed just 42 yards on 12 carries and caught a six-yard pass in the Redskins' Week 3 loss to Detroit.

It's time for owners to be extremely concerned. Portis is no longer a "special" runner after 2,000+ career carries and has struggled in back-to-back cake matchups (also St. Louis in Week 2). With bone spurs in both of his ankles, his best run-blocking lineman on injured reserve, and his role diminishing, get rid of Portis if you can find someone willing to buy him low.

Chris Cooley caught three balls for 38 yards in Week 3 against Detroit.

Sunday was the Santana Moss show, as the Skins apparently made it a point to get their slot-starting No. 1 receiver going. Cooley remains an every-week starter and Washington's go-to guy over the middle. Slot receiver Antwaan Randle El has quieted down quickly after a big opener

Antwaan Randle El managed two catches for 21 yards in the Redskins' Week 3 loss to the Lions.

Randle El created buzz with a nine-catch, 98-yard opener, but it never would've been smart for the Skins to continue featuring him in the passing game when they have Santana Moss and Chris Cooley. ARE is worth a roster spot in deep PPR leagues, but has just 43 yards combined in his last two efforts.

Redskins MLB London Fletcher suffered a bruised rib in the team's Week 3 loss, but played through it.

Fletcher, who's tearing up the stat sheet this year, still led Washington with 16 tackles (11 solo). He hasn't missed a game in his 12-year career.

Redskins coach Jim Zorn is expected to keep his job for now, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Owner Daniel Snyder isn't the most patient guy in the world and he must really be stewing after Sunday's loss to the Lions. It would be pretty rash to fire Zorn just three weeks into his second season, but an ugly victory at home over the Rams in Week 2 had Zorn on the hot seat already. On paper, the Week 4 home game against the Bucs looks like a win. Zorn better hope so.

If we lose next week, Zorn is gone. ALthough I dont take a word of what ESPN says, all ESPN is good for is games and stats. News, they suck

For now, Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn appears to be safe.

Even with the vultures circling, the Redskins are not expected to make any moves with Zorn, a team source said Sunday night, hours after Washington suffered a historic loss to the Detroit Lions.

To make a move with Zorn now would present more complications than it is worth. Zorn is the head coach, the play caller, works closely with quarterback Jason Campbell. To lose him at this point would be too much for the team to overcome, the Redskins believe.

Calls certainly will mount for Zorn's job now that the Redskins have started this season 1-2 and are 3-8 in their last 11 games.

Few teams have been any more unstable than the Redskins, who have had five different head coaches, and one additional interim coach, in the past 10 years.

Albert Haynesworth didn't sound certain that he'd be ready for Week 4 after injuring his hip against the Lions Sunday.

Haynesworth got carted off in the first half, but then returned in the third quarter. He said he wasn't 100 percent. "Really slow," Haynesworth said. "I didn't feel like myself. But that's part of the game. Hopefully I'll be ready to go by next week."

Redskins coach Jim Zorn revealed that his game plan was to come out throwing against the Lions Sunday.

The Redskins attempted just five rushes in the entire first half and had zero yards. According to Zorn, that was by design. Clinton Portis, who finished with 42 yards on 12 carries, left the locker room without talking to reporters

Chad Rinehart started Sunday at right guard in place of Randy Thomas (triceps, injured reserve).

Rinehart beat out Will Montgomery in practice to earn his first career start. Montgomery did play in the second half. Missing Thomas definitely had something to do with the Redskins' pass-heavy attack

Albert Haynesworth is en route to Tennessee on Monday to undergo an MRI on his strained hip flexor.

Haynesworth returned to the game after suffering the injury, but said afterward that he didn't feel like himself. According to Redskins.com, the initial diagnosis is a strained glute, which would leave Haynesworth as "day to day." Check back later for an update
