I don't think you can overvalue Super Bowl wins or a players performance in that game. Of course this pads Eli's resume for HOF consideration.

You think I'm being lazy? I think you're making it too complex. QB plays SB. QB plays well and wins SB. QB moves into elevated status. QB laughs at internet posters who devalue his legacy because of fantasy what if scenarios.

Not sure what the argument is here...

Ringz are one factor...its the most important factor, but not the only one...which is why we aren't r'tard's and discuss stupid shit like Mark Rypien or Doug Williams >> Dan Marino like GenPop'rs would...

Obviously numbers need to be there...his numbers will be fine when its all said and done. Good enough to be discussed with Elway, Brady, Manning, Montana? No. Good enough to be discussed with Jim Kelly, Ben Roethlisberger, and Len Dawson...yeah.

I'd argue he was the fourth best QB in football during the regular season this year (behind Brady, Rodgers, Brees) and he beat two of those guys on his way to a Super Bowl win...so, take that FWIW.

You are convoluting intelligent sports discussion with this continued nerd logic that is prevalent in the baseball discussions on this forum.

Just to put his eventual numbers into perspective, he'll basically finish his career, using his current career projections, to finish his career fourth among his contemporaries in all statistical categories...he'll be around the Top 10 All-Time in TD passes, yards...his comebacks and game winning drives will be up there with the elite of his position.

End of career Hall of Fame credentials, sir.

It's funny because W2B was one of the main guys criticizing Brees with Nuk a few seasons ago for putting up "empty stats" and being overvalued by fantasy geeks. Eli doesn't put up huge numbers but wins games and now W2B is criticizing him for the opposite reasons he didn't like Brees.

Then he says if Gronkowki makes that catch at the end nobody is talking about Eli being elite. But the win catapults Coughlin as the best coach of this era, over Belichick.

        Double standard much?

Eh. I guess. He was lucky Rivers had a down year and Big Ben was banged up but I guess.

LOL at FatAss saying he was top 3 though.

Thanked for helping me remember W2B tagteaming with Nuk on Brees.

Why is the hail mary play being brought up like it's even was close? The gimpy TE didn't even have a shot at it, these what if scnerios are silly

Lets talk about the plays that happened, Eli no picks and made amazing throws, Brady gets a safety after having time in the pocket, throws a pick and missed a bunch of critical throws, the brady playoff myth has been squashed since spygate, lol @ people still counting those tainted wins

Eli at this point is clearly a better big game player than brady, those are FACTS

But you can't use this argument because Vinny Testaverde is in the top 10 in all those stats too.....

Brett Favre is no Hall of Famer...he threw more INTs than anyone in the history of the game...

This would be a good point if Brady's offense scores more than 17 points...
