This would be a good point if Brady's offense scores more than 17 points...
Brady had his team up the entire second half, had his best WR drop a big pass and had his best overall weapon gimpy. Look, "should" New England have scored more than 17 points? I guess. Whatever. Brady had his team ahead in the finals minutes of the Super Bowl and the defense had the Giants 88 yards away from the endzone with Brady not on the field. Brady did enough to win that game for 57 minutes. Somehow diminishing Brady because the New England defense gave up a lead(again) in the final two minutes of a Super Bowl is stupid IMO.
When Brady has a defense who makes stops: Machine.
When Brady has a defense that gives up drives in the last minutes of Super Bowls: Human
Its easy to put the blame on a shitty defense...the defense wasn't great, but they were good enough to win the game...Brady's offense was only able to put up 17...you gotta do better on offense than 17 to win the game.

You actually don't if your defense makes a stop in the final two minutes.
Oh yeah, and they gave up game winning TD drives when they had the lead.
But let's just overlook that.
Because you don't overlook an entire game for one drive.
If the Patriots offense converts with 2m left, the Giants might not have been in a position to win the game with a game winning drive in the first place.

That was a poor throw by Brady that Welker dropped. Either way he didn't play well, and 17 points is meh...
So, metaphorically speaking, our physiology basically has the universe mapped out and you're thinking it needs to be taught addition & subtraction.
Brady did nothing after the first drive the 3rd quarter, he missed more throws than there were drops, even the Welker 'drop', that was on Brady, he had him and had Welker turning and jumping to make a catch, he missed Branch a couple times also
The great catch by Manningham was a ball that Eli put in pefectly between 2 defenders, that was a mfing throw
I don't understand how people are still stuck on rings for a QB.. Eli has never struck me as a top 3-5 QB in the league. I like him, I would say he's top 10 but to me that's not hall of fame material, with or without 2 superbowls.

Brady leads 1 more TD scoring drive Manning's drive at the end of the game means nothing. 17 points was never going to win that football game.
This is the reason why we are talking about Brady right now in this thread. Forget all the what if scenarios and blaming it on the D and tell us why Brady is the better big game player right now.
Because Tom brady is the better fucking quarterback.
Eli Manning scoring last when playing Brady after Brady has had the lead on Manning for the entire second half and set a Super Bowl completitions record doesn't some how mean Eli is the better "big game" player. Super Bowl and game is on the line. I'm giving the ball to Brady 11 times out of 10 over Eli Manning.
Eli beating the Patriots defense late doesn't mean Eli>Brady as a "big game QB".

How could anyone say that wasnt a bad throw by Brady to Welker? He had a guy WIDE OPEN and Welker has to jump and turn his body to make a catch, come on son
