She did nothing unprofessional. She asked a question and Sherman acted like a fool. She asked a follow up question and Sherman acted like a fool.

All things considered she handled herself very well. Was she supposed to pretend there wasn't a raving lunatic screaming into her mic? If you think that interview as a trainwreck, it's 100% on Sherman.

He is smiling and hugging her literally seconds before they are on camera. You posted the gif. Why would she have any reason to think he was going to behave in the way that he did? It sure appeared that whatever he did in the previous interview was out of his system based on the gigantic smile on his face.

And she followed up just fine. After the initial shock, she looked at him like he was nuts and asked "Who was talking about you?" She handled herself pretty damn well considering the circumstances.
