Ment to post this a while ago but Toronto signed another young goalie to an ELC.

Mark Owuya who according to most is pretty raw at this point but was drawn in by the leafs having Allaire and seeing how they've done pretty well for themselves over the past couple years with other European goalies.

This is the 3rd year in a row toronto has signed a goalie from one of the euro leagues.

I'm so pissed that I spent money and went to this game. Flyers always have bad game 1's and seem to bounce back, but even if we do, how far is the terrible goaltending going to take us?

Both teams went back and forth for most of the 1st period but I'd say Detroit was playing better until they got the first goal. After that, San Jose kicked it up a notch and started to really pick up the pace.

Datsyuk had a great game, as usual. I really hope I never see Wallin on the ice with him ever again in my life.

It doesn't matter how bad the rest of the team plays lol, Datsyuk just turns it on and doesn't let up game in and game out. I guess all we can hope for is that the series keeps pace and it's somewhat exciting to watch. :D

Huge LOL to people leaving the game by the 2nd OT in vancouver. It was only 9:30pm there when the 2nd OT came on. I officially do not give a fuck if vancouver makes it past this round now simply because their fans blow and don't deserve it.

Watched the Flyers/Bruins game. Had to change to something else. Turrible.

BTW, Zetterberg doesn't look 100%, IMO. I was watching him specifically on a backcheck at one point and his strides were short and choppy. I don't even know what his initial injury was but it really looked like he wasn't skating full speed.

I also think the Wings need to split him and Datsyuk up to match the Sharks depth a little better.

Yep. Zetterberg wasn't noticeable in that game at all, which is fine with me. It was a Knee Ligament injury I believe, which would explain everything.


You love to give guys like Wallin and Murray shit for their play, but I thought both played very strong games in game 1. Murray especially, his stick checking ability is very underrated.
