My god that show had a ton of nonsense...

I'm beyond sick and tired of the Cole angle....it's change the channel bad at this point.

As far as the draft, some bullshit and some interesting shit.

      A) Immediately after Cena was first drafted to SD, I figured it'd be hilarious if they drafted him back to RAW at some point tonight. Pissed because it turned out be a big waste of time and two picks. Served ABSOLUTELY NO PURPOSE. Oh well.

      B) Big Show and Mark Henry are meaningless so I hate they waste TV time on them.

      C) Everything else expected (Orton, ADR, Cara, Mysterio)

      D) The scenes of the roster sitting together backstage and cheering for draft picks is THE DUMBEST THING. Watching heels cheer for faces being drafted to their brand is beyond retarded.

How do they not realize this?

The draft resumes at noon tomorrow where it's figured more low level and mid carders will move.

      As things stand now:

      RAW:
John Cena, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison as the top babyfaces. (it was clear Cena was moving back because they had no legit #1 babyface before he returned)

The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, Punk, Ron Killings as the top heels (strong group all things considered)

      SD:
Randy Orton, Christian, Sin Cara are the top babyfaces (not a bad group at all)

Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett are the top heels. Seriously. They need to fix this.

        The Cena thing was stupid.
John Morrison is not a face, it's just stupid to make him be a face.
K-Kwik/Killings can work as a heel, but he's no Miz, Del Rio or Punk. He's a mid-carder ... and what happens to his song? (Didn't see all of RAW tonight). R-Truth's song is 1/2 his gimmick.

On SD, Orton is not really a face, Christian is not and never will be a main eventer (though I hope he wins Edge's belt at the PPV) and Sin Cara was moved to SD because he keeps botching moves.
If Henry, Rhodes and Barrett are the top heels, like Empire said - work needs to be done. I like Barrett, but they've fucked up his character with all these swings. Corre? Who cares. Nexus? Way to ruin the group. Rhodes a skinny little loser with decent in-ring ability, very little charisma and no believablity. Henry a better low to low mid-card face. Frankly, he needs to be Sexual Chocolate again. It was his best gimmick.

          ROFL, that shit is horrible.

Moving Orton over is a natural transition with Edge gone. He's a face and on a show with the #1 face, which leaves him on the outs as Cena is chasing the title and/or holding the title for the next year. Moving Orton over is actually fresh. Instead of the Cena non-sense, this should have been the kicker to the show as Orton is, in WWE fantasy land, an equal to Cena, so, why bury his big move to the Blue Brand behind a double switch for Cena so he can wrestle for Smackdown on one night? Waste of time and TV time and clearly a Vinnie Mac pre-show re-write to make the show feel "big". I've seen this before and it was awful the first time (HHH and Rey Mysterio the first time).

So, as a return, they send over Mysterio (the defacto #1 face on SD), who is as stale as month old bread, but a proven ratings draw for Smackdown with a firm Latino demographic, and swap him for Sin Cara, who is botchamania fodder. They tried Mysterio on RAW a few times and its never gone over well. He just doesn't fit in with what they try to do on that brand.

They also send the defacto SECOND biggest face, in Big Show to RAW, where, again, its been done before and he always ends up back on Smackdown (he's buddies with The Undertaker and Kane, so, the vibe back there is better for him, for sure).

They also send over Smackdown's only legitimate heel to RAW. Yeah, good booking.

Moving Orton was easy and smart. Every forum on the planet had it penciled in. The rest was awful and ill-planned and surely had a load of late minute changes to make this rush, poorly placed special RAW even worse than it was originally planned to be.

The Draft is the perfect environment to raise some damn mid-carders, especially when you send them to Smackdown, which is always barren around this time of the year and every year, they also take MORE from Smackdown instead of sending mid-carders who aren't doing anything over to Smackdown so they can actually start doing something.

Guys that should be on Smackdown to work up the card...Ted Dibiase (a bum, but at least give the bum a shot), Daniel Bryan (perfect mid-card work rate talent), Sheamus (could be the #1 heel on Smackdown immediately), Evan Bourne and in return you send Drew McIntyre (desperately in need of something new) and Kofi Kingston to RAW as a result.

You push Barrett and Sheamus (two of 2010's hottest heels) as the top two heels and start to push Jack Swagger as a face up the mid-card with Orton as your new lead face.

I thought the lone bright spot in tonight's Raw was Killings promo. He's such a better heel. Granted it wasn't anything amazing, but it was solid.

Totally agree. It was fresh and he did pretty well (even though it seemed he lost some of his lines since he said the whole "Goodbye, the truth shall set me free" bit...and then continued on).

I'm interested to see how he keeps it up over the next few weeks.

Rumors that Punk might leave the WWE. His contract is up, and he apparently is burned out and unhappy with how he's been used over the past year, compared to how some other newer talent has been pushed.

The Draft (call it a Lottery already!) was a cluster. Predictable. Boring. Everything about the WWE just seems so bland right now.

Hopefully Punk gets punted right out of the E. I'd love to see him in Japan and back with ROH or in DG USA.

Now if he's planning on heading to TNA, good for him and the easy workload, but I guess I won't be seeing much of him.

I called Del Rio moving and that was it because they changed his thing on the website to RAW before the draft

The draft is gay, it was a cool idea years ago but now its old.

Im sick of the Cole thing too. I wish he would just go away.

The brand extension has seen its day. The roster is FAR too thin for it these days.

It's been the case for at least 4-5 years.

Its thin because that's how they want it. They have plenty of "promotable" personalities, they just choose not to go all the way with anyone. No reason Kofi, Barrett, Danielson, and a host of others shouldn't be slotted at a level higher than they are. Those three in particular used to be over, but they booked them to not be for whatever reason.

Take away the brands, and even fewer new faces get pushed.

The problem isn't the split roster, its the execution of the split roster. They have enough talent for 3 or 4 "brands".
