If we are doing points we could experiment with lowering Wins and raising Quality Starts. Me & Pete came up with a formula a few months back when the semi monthly "wins are too valuable" debate cropped up.

Does everybody agree that the hitter points are best left untouched?

Well the stat cats I set up is one I've seen proposed by a lot of websites.

Hitters: Runs, Home Runs, RBI, Stolen Bases, OBP and SLG

Pitcher: Saves, Holds , Earned Run Average, WHIP, K/9 and QS

No no, not at all. the post below I'm talking different stat categories. Wins are gone. I'm done with wins in fantasy baseball haha. Different keeper rules as well. I'd love to do Roto but highly doubt that'll get across everyone.

Seriously though, the format is good Fed. The auction is easily enough to make it different from the other VSN league for those who want to do both.

QS is much better than wins, and after that don't fuck around with it too much. If you get into weird settings you're straying away from regular fantasy sports and you'd end up with a shitty league like Rudi has :dd:

If wins are out, I would suggest total K's as opposed to K/9. Otherwise, there is no reason to draft any SP's. You can punt QS and win the other 5 categories every week.

Wait just saw holds were in this.. no thanks. Standard 5x5 with Warner's switch:

Hitters: Runs, Home Runs, RBI, Stolen Bases, OBP

Pitcher: Saves, Earned Run Average, WHIP, K's and QS

Getting rid of pitcher wins but leaving RBI seems like a job half-finished.

I put those cats in under the premise of doing Roto, if we switch to H2H, I'd rather do points in something similar to this (found on another forum):

I like SLG only because you don't reward players who get extra base hits but not homers and they deserve some type of recognition. Give Alex Gordon his due, dammit!

For the record I hate h2h cat, its my least favorite format. I'm still down for this league, but just putting it out there.

To me h2h works better with points. Categories are for roto.

Agreed. The cats were never ever for H2H cat. I won't do another league with that. We'll have to decide on Roto or H2H Points. I'm guessing more votes are going to be for H2H Points.
