I'm really enjoying this game. Trying to solve the riddles is tough but fun. The explosive gel kicks ass. That part when you save one of the doctors was the shit.

I'm sure there's some Batman encyclopedias out there, but I've never read one.
If you want to start reading Batman comics, go for the graphic novels, not the current montly comics (they suck). I'd start out with these graphic novels: Batman: Year One (title of the book says it all, Batmans origin (Batman Begins was based off of this book), The Long Halloween (Great book, it's a Two Face origin story and it influenced The Dark Knight), The Killing Joke (a great Joker story, it also influenced The Dark Knight), and The Dark Knight Returns (This is a story about an old Bruce Wayne coming out of retirement to fight crime once again. Superman co-stars so he can get his ass kicked). I'd start out with those books, but there's a lot more great graphic novels out there.

i wish there was a way you could turn off the hints when you die during a boss battle. kinda takes the fun out of it when you only die once and they tell you exactly what to do

I doubt anyone can help me quickly enough but I'm trying to figure out something and I'm stuck. I'm in the Gnerator Access corridor in the Penitentiary Cell Block. It's a long hallway with water on the floor that's electrified. Thee is an access panel at the far end. I purchased the Cryptographic Range Amplifier but I can't access the panel. Do I need the Crypto Power Amp too?

That last clue from where the old man was tell the story of Arkham had me stumped. I went back through every building looking for more beetle things but couldn't find anything. I had to cheat and look online to figure it out.

Nope you didn't miss anything. After the joker shoots you (no way to avoid it) it says "Push the middle stick to avoid the Joker's fire" I don't know what the middle stick is, but you can't do anything to avoid being shot. That line must have been accidentally left in the game.
Getting the x40 achievement in free flow combat is becoming a huge bitch for me. The most I've gotten is 32. The henchman with knives are streak killers. If you accidentally punch one without stunning it, it kills your streak. Even though you don't take damage from it.
