LSU vs Tulane rivalry game?

Is has one more game to be played before ending, but still. They've had this rivalry for a pretty long time, even though LSU basically dominated it (besides the one stretch where Tulane went 13-7-3 against LSU).

The only reason its ending is not because LSU has nothing to gain from it at all, its only because LSU barely gains anything when they're playing @ Tulane.. and Tulane wouldn't give up any of its home games to continue it at Baton Rouge. It is a mutual split.

My point is, rivalry games are fun for all sides. Its something to get pumped up for and to look foward to each & every season.

BCS teams can afford to play a cupcake rival, because a team like LSU will get 6 or 7 other tough games minimum.

Boise cant afford to play a cupcake rival, because they need to try to play as many decent opponents as possible to even sniff a BCS game.

Boise always tries to do the right thing, they aggressively pursue tough games, moved up a level to a better league, etc. I can't kill them for dropping Idaho. I just can't. They make legit efforts to play a hard schedule.

2010: VT, Oregon St, Toledo and Wyoming
2009: Oregon, Miami (OH), BGSU and UC-Davis
2008: Idaho St, BGSU, Oregon and So Miss
2007: Weber St, So Miss, Washington and Wyoming
2006: Sacramento St, Wyoming, Oregon St and Utah

they could schedule Idaho every year if they wanted to... and besides, no BCS team east of the mississippi will ever agree to a home and home with boise, so thats not an issue...

i am sorry but after BSU beat OU they could have found someone to play in the following years and now finally have VT on their schedule.

Do you honestly think Utah would have beaten Alabama if that was a regular season game. Bama was bigger, stronger and faster with better coaching. But in that game Utah was the better team because they wanted so badly to pull a Boise st on bama. Alabama didnt care what they were doing that week.....it wasnt the title game so they didnt give a shit when the game started

maynard, you need to argue factual information and not your personal bias... i really do think the 2008 Utah Utes were the best team in college football, based on their body of work... and you have clearly never played football, b/c any player in their right mind would have been up and ready and would haven given 100% in that game, regardless of their last games outcome... hell, in 2007 WVU lost a shot at the national title and then lost their coach a week later... they responded by shitting on Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl... if players allow themselves to feel sorry for themselves and be sad enough about a loss to the point where it affects their ability to play, they shouldnt be playing football... that shit is an excuse for losing to a "subpar" team, nothing more...
