Disagree. I tried it once and finished with one of my highest k/d ratios ever. Tried it a few more times in different rooms just to check and same thing. I've always said the melee is too powerful in this game, going back to COD on the PC and it continues to this day. Now you have boosts that make that attack even more powerful. You have a mode where it takes half a clip to kill someone with a fully automatic weapon but one wild press of the melee button takes him out if you hit him anywhere on his body.

I play both, and you're endorsing camping. Sniping, in my eyes, consists of moving around. But, if you can defend your sniper perch even after a kill cam has given you away, even more props.

This is stupid. This is just you thinking about the other team calling you a camper. First and foremost, fuck any title you earn. If you're successful, continue to do what you are doing.

If you find a spot that the other team is not attacking, or trying to control, then stick to it as long as you can. Usually, you'll get anywhere from 4-6 kills in single spot before you piss someone off and they start coming after you. There will be the occasion where you'll have a guy who is a flanker, and will attack you the first time you kill him, but you should have your rear covered by either a claymore or a teammate. Again, camping a single building, obviously dont sit in the exact same window or spot, but dont get up and run to a completely different part of the map, because then you just run the risk of running into someone along the way with a better weapon than my secondary. And if I'm sniping, I'm trying to keep my deaths to around 5.

What you just described there to me isn't camping IMO.

In hardcore, its not one "good" shot. Its simply one shot. And it just instigates heavy camping. Because you know, if you're playing hardcore, you're going to die if shot at. Hardcore search and destroy is where I find the most strategy. But fuck hardcore headquarters and team deathmatch.

That's why you have grenade launchers and grenades. I like to call them Tent Busters.

Only time camping becomes a problem is in Wasteland.

I think there is a difference between tactical game play and camping an they get mixed up a lot.

Camping to me means sitting in a dark corner with an automatic gun or a shot gun and waiting for people to come by. IMO it's not camping to either have a sniper rifle or an automatic weapon and tactically work the perimeters of maps or be in a room and cover all sides.

Camping to me is sitting in Underpass in the weeds for the whole game or in dark corners for the whole game really not doing anything but shooting anyone that moves by you and really not doing anything tactically to move around the map at all.

I get ya. If you're sniping, you're not going to be running a whole lot. Thats just not a smart thing to do.

Everyone has something to bitch about when they're losing or lost. Instead of altering their gameplan, they bitch and complain about either the other team doing something, or their teammates not doing enough. That is a bad player.

Theres always the ass hats who use grenade launcher attachments and the thumper as their secondary. And shoot all four each time they spawn, before firing even just one bullet. Or guys who sit in an incredibly stupid spot and get a cheap kill because you obviously would never look there.

Just had a camper in Skid Row. Sat in the box cars facing the sniper perches by Flag B. Every time I killed him 15 seconds later I'd see him running to the exact same spot and 1/2 the time shot him while he was trying to climb the crates. Nice to know where I could go each time I was one kill from a kill streak.

We get into the lobby and he's a Level 55 and he starts accusing me of camping. I lul'ed because one of his teammates spoke up and called him a fag because he was pissed I just kept not letting him go to his one spot on the map.

Also there was some fag who would just choose the riot shield and run around. At least when Houtz does it he kills people. I got stuck with this guy on my team and he went 6-15 and we lost.

there was this one guy who somehow managed to get up into this little building behind the bridge on Underpass and planted tacticals every time he respawned after i killed him. i just sat underneath him in the little red shack behind the bridge and killed him about 7 times in a row, then other guys on my team started joining in, too. it was pretty funny, guy just refused to stop dropping his tactical in the same exact spot.

i couldn't figure out how he got up there, though, and it is a good spot. i kept trying to climb the bridge and jump up but i couldn't get it.

sidenote - i pretty much only play hardcore team deathmatch now. i played regular deathmatch after playing hardcore for a couple days and thought it was ridiculous, took me 3 bursts with the m16 to kill a guy with last stand on. don't think i'll be playing that anymore.

i prefer the calmer/quiter firefights over all out mayhem. i strictly use the FAL or M16 with silencer+red dot and cold blooded pro+ninja pro perks. it's just so much more realistic to me.

Which building, If you go into the red building on the other side of the bridge you can jump to the building to the right of it, also the other building on the other side of the bridge has a ladder to get to the top of it.

if you're walking across the bridge toward the back of the map it's a little building directly to the right after the bridge ends. there are two bird cages right near the end of the bridge, right? the little building i'm talking about is on the right after crossing the bridge.

it's hard to explain, but i didn't try jumping into the spot from the other building, so maybe that's how he got there, i just tried to climb/jump up from the creek wall.

lol we probably threw like 8 flash grenades at that guy that was dropping tacticals in the same spot over and over again in a row. funny shit.

i like dropping claymores as i back away from riot shielders and watch them just blow up right in front of my eyes.

lot of them have scrambler on i think, though, so they're able to get through them but then go down with a round or two.

yea I think you can get to there from the red buildings too, never tried that side just the other side but Im sure you can...

I once sniped from the weeds in underpass, the ones near the entrance to the building..i got like 4 kills there and then moved and picked people off who thought i was still there. Good times.

i have found that my best games occur when i can call in my attack helicopter, pavelow, and chopper gunner but then i won't be able to call in a nuke. what have you guys set your killstreaks to for games in which you've dropped a nuke?
