Why would I know anything about the PS3 version? I don't think I've posted about it here and I've pretty sure I've never referenced it in any posts inthis thread.

Quick note to you: What I've said in this thread and the general dumbness of the 3 year old kitties crying on the MW2 forums are two different things.

Yes, I guess I am missing the point you are trying to make. I haven't been on any forums dealing with IW so I have no idea what those 3 year olds have been crying about in regards to MW2. I have read several PC Gaming blogs and websites and looked through the comments posted after the articles.

I wasn't asking about the PS3 version, I was asking about the PS3 itself. I figured since you obviously know something about modding and hacks on a PC, that you may possibly know information about it for a console. I see that's not the case, and I apologize.

So can we carry secondary weapons from the beginning? I mean, can I grab the Barret as my primary, and roll out the SPAS shotgun or a Machine pistol as my secondary, as soon as I get online for the first time?

November 8, 2009 - Videogame retailer GameStop is none too pleased with mom-and-pop shops selling the much anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a few days early before its November 10 release date.

The world's largest game outlet decided to fight fire with fire by allowing certain stores in various regions across the U.S. to sell reserved copies early to customers, reports Kotaku.

"This past weekend, GameStop made the decision to break street date and sell reserved copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in select markets where other retailers had broken street date," said vice president of corporate communications Chris Olivera. "Our decision followed many conversations with Activision and was an effort to protect our customer base."

A GameStop representative told IGN on Friday the company was unaware of reports of its stores selling the title early to counter smaller retailers breaking the street date, so it seems this decision came down rather hastily.

It's unclear at the moment what markets are selling the title early, but so far it seems to be isolated in the Northeast regions. Give your local GameStop a call if you have the game reserved. You might get lucky.

Wow they straight up admitted it. I know IW is not impressed with all the selling before street date. Doubt they will do anything at this point though.

Just picked up my copy. Should be able to get through the campaign tonight with my roommate and be online by 10EST to get my online game back. Hopefully my skills carry over from MW1 and I don't have to worry about having a .2 K/D ratio cuz I have no idea what I'm doing. lol

Hoping to stay around 1.4-1.5 for MW2.

GS only has themselves to blame. Its their fault we now have street dates. i would have bought the game from GS by my house if the mom n pops didnt sell it early. so they lost my money. but if they are losing alot of money from the NYC area then they only have themselves to blame. Street dates are lame

Essentially its coming down to how many local retailers are breaking release date whereever GS is located. If you look at the map of Charlotte, there's only 1 Gamecrazy, 8-10 Play and Trades and about 30 GS locations. Thats why they are not breaking release date in Charlotte, because none of the other stores are, hell I am not even sure if Gamecrazy is even operational anymore.

Activision plans to unveil a $1 million backed non-profit corporation tomorrow designed to help soldiers transition to civilian careers tomorrow.

The Call of Duty Endowment (CODE) unveiling comes on Veterans Day and the official launch day for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The morning press conference will take place at the Newseum in Washington D.C. and will be hosted by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick.

The CODE advisory council members include MG Matthew P. Caulfield (USMC-Ret.), COL Roger Dimsdale (USA-Ret.), RADM Ronne Froman (USN-Ret.), CPT Gordon H. Mansfield (USA-Ret.), BG James A. "Spider" Marks (USA-Ret.), GEN Montgomery C. Meigs (USA-Ret.), SFC Steve Robinson (USA-Ret.), BG Harry A. Sieben, Jr. (USANG-Ret.), MG Craig Whelden (USA-Ret.) and MCPO Maurice Wilson (USN-Ret.)

Kotick told the Washington Post that "The joblessness rate that [veterans] should have should be far less than the national average, not more. How do you expect people to actually join the military if when they leave the military they can't integrate back into the free market they're supposed to be protecting?"

Eighteen percent of veterans who left the military in the past one to three years were unemployed, according to a 2008 Department of Veterans Affairs employment survey, the Post reports.

The endowment will support other groups that assist veterans with their careers. A noble effort with suspicious timing.
