Sadly that run by Williams only highlights Ron Rivera's blind allegiance to the Martz/Reid school of playcalling. Williams only had 9 carries! They only ran it 22 times and 7 of those were by Cam (6 by Stewart). Everyone has been wondering what happened to Carolina's run game. Ron Rivera is what happened. Through 5 games Williams has 46 att (yup that's an avg of 9 per) and only 4 carries after that TD run. 3 of those came on their 1st possession of the 3rd qtr. That drive resulted in a TD, making it a 3 point game. Other than Chicago I don't think they've faced a good run d but they just keep chuckin' it.
