Says the guy without Call Dragon, Call of Valor or the amazingly 10 minute Storm Call.

Storm Call ftw. When I first got Storm Call I set it as my R2 power right away and promptly forgot to ever use it. Later on I wondered into a bandit camp where there was literally like 10 bandits running around trying to kill me. I tried using force push to knock em all down and pick em off but I still had Storm Call set at R2 so I called a storm instead. So as I'm running around tearing shit up with archery I'm about to die, there was a split second where the last guy was in front of me, about to swing and end it all, I even remember accepting my death. Out of nowhere this blinding flash of lightning comes down right in front of me, when the dust clears I'm standing over the dead body of the last bandit who all but killed me. Storm Call ftmfw.

Another awesome moment from Skyrim was when I first experimented with Paralyzing potions. Tipped my arrows with one just before getting attacked by a sabertooth. I was in sneak mode when it saw me and it pounced, I shot it in mid air and it proceeded to fly OVER my head and go sailing off into the river behind me and start to float away before I stuck it with more arrows to end it's life. I was rofl'ing.

When I got all three words, I decided it was time to finish the civil war quests. I walk into Solitude, do my shout, and a fucking monsoon rolls in. For 10 minutes.

Massive lightning, wind, rain, thunder...fucking awesome. Just don't do it if you have a follower, because they'll get struck and turn against you.

i snagged the first word of storm call. probably would have never found it if i didnt look at the wiki. i will search for the other 2 words tomorrow

You get the third word near the end of the main quest...like 5 minutes from the end.

Skyrim is huge, a vast land of mountains and tundra, dragons and dungeons. We know that. We also know that there’s more, much more. Climb to the highest peaks and you can see across to Morrowind and Cyrodiil, the settings for The Elder Scrolls III and IV. What we didn't know, however, is that Bethesda may put that landmass to use.

Speaking at DICE last week, director Todd Howard said, "The reason they [Morrowind and Cyrodiil] are there - and I will not say if we are or are not using them in the future - is when we first built the landmass for Skyrim we knew we were going to have these tall mountains.

“And what can you see see? We have views early in the project where you can see into the [neighbouring] province from the other game. We needed to have something [there].

“It's not high detail. If you walk there, from a distance it's...yeah, the stuff is there. And the thinking is, maybe we'll use it one day, but our larger worry was, I'm going to climb up on top of a mountain and look that way. What will I be able to see there? We try to cover all those angles as much as we can."

Maybe they’ll use it some day, eh? Nice. DLC with an entire extra landmass? We doubt it. But still, we can dream.

Im going to go pick up my copy of Skyrim from my cousin's house and play again until ME3 comes out. Gabe you getting it on the ps3 or 360?

this council with the greybeards is annoying. i had to reload and cant advance the dialog. im forced to sit thru it all over again

load times are an annoyance now too.

Load times on my PC are almost non-existent...pretty nice. Also finding things I hadn't yet come across since I made the move from 360.

yeah, i wish i had this on the pc. i am way to far into it now to make the jump over.

the load times never bothered me before. but after putting in 175 hours it starts to get annoying. especially when doing the main quest with all of its back and forth back and forth quests where have to enter 3 doors just to talk to someone.

One thing that was interesting is, on the 360, I wound up in Markarth by way of a Daedric quest where you pass out and wake up there, so I never had to actually manually travel to the city. So, on the PC, I walked there (and forgot that I hadn't done it before), and was like "none of this looks familiar". Damn hagravens and trolls almost took me out.

finished the main quest. this is one game where finishing the main quest first is the best choice. i wish i had these rewards earlier in the game

as for the main quest

 

it was a bit of a let down at the end. my battle with aldwun took all of about 30 seconds. it was no competition at all. none of it was really all that compelling either. i played through it being bored with the story and wanting to just get it over with and go on to the action.

going into that mist area was cool to look at, but it didnt add to the story. i guess i was expecting to be left with some feeling of wow. for a game that is this epic and the depth and scope of the world, i was hoping for better story and ending.

Once you get the dragonrend shout, killing dragons is a whole lot easier. Comes in handy, but really takes a good bit of the anxiety out of fighting them, even the final boss.

I think if you do purely the main quest from the beginning then it would be much more fun and challenging, but I did dark brotherhood and all sorts of shit first, by the time I got there my guy was too overpowered.

sold my 360 copy to a friend for $30...downloaded a cracked pc copy just to check it out on the pc. load times are none existant like jaxjaggy said...especially with an ssd.

graphics are on ultra and look great, but not like super great compared to 360. just passing time with this until the show comes out

The big bonus is, the game actually runs at 1080p...the console versions are at 720p, so things should look sharper, especially on ultra. Only real stuttering I've noticed, on my machine anyway, is on the initial load after I installed the high-res pack from Bethesda. But, after the intial looking around the world, it's all smooth again.

The other big bonus on PC is, of course, the mods...still trying some of those out here and there.

i dont think i can get patches with this cracked copy. i know i can add mods though. the game does look alot better....very crisp as u mentioned.

i may end up buying the pc version cause i want to be able to get all the patches

No ones playing this no more? I got stuck in a fucking corner and can't move so I have to start all the way over. I was like on the last Thieves Guild Guild mission. I'm fucking pissed.
