I finished the main story line last night and now I'm about to start using some of the "god mode" glitches.

 

The best one that I've found so far involves a book from one of the Mages College quests and it lets you get 100 in all skills and boosts you to lvl 81. I have everything except heavy armor, 2 handed and blocking at 100 now and i'm terrorizing Skyrim. I haven't glitched up any armor or weapons to do crazy damage but I did craft some Daedric swords that do 165 damage each with my gloves and ring on.

its the same enchantment, so you cant disenchant it twice. if you had higher enchanting it would be the higher numbers, so the game regards it at as the same thing.

i think the trick is to fill up a shitload of petty soul gems when you are still a newer player and just enchant all the iron daggers you have laying around from blacksmithing ( i dont see the point in not wearing some kind of armor, so im assuming that you will have your smithing up ). you can get like 600gp from stamina daggers, so financially its worth it just to toss them in a box till you have the soul gems to level them.

Yeah, I have my smithing up. I have shit ton of filled soul gems too, as I made a glass bow and gave it a soul trap enchantment. So I guess I'll wait to do my armor until I get the skill up. I sold most of the crap I smithed to get the skill up but its not hard to create a few more.

Same. Dungeon-diving got much easier in Oblivion once you get a ring of night-eye. But no need in Skyrim and I don't know if there are even night-eye enchantments available. Few of the places I've been have been dark enough to need extra lighting. Might just have my brightness settings quite high...?

Carrying around a torch wouldn't work so well for my character. Kinda takes away from the sneaky bastardness when you gotta light the way...

You probably miss out on a ton of loot.

I'm much like that hilarious diagram a few pages back where I check every fuckin corner of every room in every dungeon.

I'm still shocked when you see a part of a cave room where it looks just like part of the wall, all dark, but then you blast magelight or use a torch near by and what's this....a fuckin massive wardrobe completely hidden from plain sight with 3 books that raise skill levels, 100G and a filled grand soul gem?


Torches are certainly not required from a getting through the dungeon perspective, but there's things to be missed without them.

I was at first but i hated pausing to switch spells so I went with duel wielding. I think I'm going to give it another try now that I know what's going on.

you can also setup 2 quick choices. push up or down to bring up the favs menu....the hold left and right on the dpad of the item you wish to have as a quick choice

Had a fun moment last night. I had to climb around the outside of a dwemer ruin to meet some companions inside for a quest. There were a bunch of bandits around the place, so I took my time sneaking and sniping with the bow. Get near to the top and spot someone sitting on a bench in a small alcove, almost hidden in the shadow. I wander up, still sneaking, thinking that it will be one of my companions, as I didn't get a red indicator. When I get right up in front of the guy, I realize its not my buddy... its the mook boss. And despite me being direct in front of him, he hasn't noticed me yet. Guess my sneak skill is pretty high. So I pull out the trusty bow and from about six inches away, I put an arrow into the center of his forward. He still doesn't move - his head just tilts back with the arrow sticking out. One of my best kills yet.
