Haven't even reached the season yet and I'm having serious injury problems. :(

Jagielka tore his hamstring and is going to miss 3 months. Seamus Coleman tore a calf muscle and is expected to miss 3 to 4 months.

I signed Daniel Van Buyten on a free for some cover. He won't be match fit in time for the opener, so De Laet's probably going to pair with Heitinga. Hibbert will be my starting right back.
 
January is looking like a slump. Lost 1-0 to Blackburn, even though I outshot them 24-1. Now losing to Wolves, even though we are playing them off the park. Just can't put the ball in the net
 
Brought Dante in on loan from Gladbach after we got demolished 4-0 at Stoke, with Van Buyten turning in a 4.9 rating :shifty:.

Heitinga was injured for the Stoke game as well, so my D pairing was Van Buyten - De Laet. It wasn't pretty.

We did win our season opener 2-1 at home against Wigan.
 
A come from behind win vs Bolton and an easy win against Blackpool in the cup. Hopefully things are righting themselves

Cisse has bedded in pretty well, 3 goals and an assist in 6 appearences
 
Heitinga returns from injury and promptly gets sent off 10 minutes into the match for a two footed challenge. FFS.

Drew 1-1 with Norwich playing a man down the whole way. :smh:

Fined Heitinga 2 weeks wages for it.
 
Chelsea added Angel Di Maria and Milos Krasic to their side in the summer in my save. Their team is really no fun to play against right now.

My defense is sorely missing Jagielka and Heitinga right now, more Jagielka than anything. We've conceded 15 times in 6 games already. Granted, it doesn't help that our last 3 games were @ Arsenal and Chelsea, and home vs. Man U against an atrocious defensive pairing.
 
Into the FA Cup semis against Wolves. Avoided City and Chelsea who ended up on the other side. Fingers crossed...

Leverkusen also offered me Sidney Sam for £2.4 million, so I pounced. Can't have too many good wingers
 
After spending yesterday playing around with Ajax, I ended up starting anew with Valencia. Much different team that when I had some good games with them a few years ago, but still a quality side. Players like Banega and Piatti are outstanding talents. Fired the entire staff but two to start out with. Mostly playing to tweak the tactic, as I'm still trying to get the Barca-esque passing tactic to work. I tweaked the shape a bit. The first match with Valencia was just some minnow but the tactic looked better than was Ajax. Only won 2-0 but had 70% of the possession and chances were 22-1. In the first couple of matches with Ajax, I was getting 2-1 wins but only getting around 55-60% of the possession. Even more encouraging, I got my midfield key, Banega, over 50 passes in the match. The goal would to be get him with closer to 100, but that means narrowing the width.

Doubt I'll go too far with the Valencia game. Just testing things out so far. I'll probably end up back at Ajax, or running something in Germany. Just need to find a lower leagues file for the German leagues, though.
 
Should be finished the first season tonight. Believe I am in fifth right now with Chelsea right behind. Fourth is an outside chance, as I have a relatively easy run in. Beating Wolves in the cup is probably the priority right now. Lost to Liverpool 2-1 and then hammered Norwich 5-1 right after. We are beating up on the chumps but can't find much success against any top teams (save Arsenal who are currently 8th)
