No idea if anyone else has much interest in mananging in Germany. The above is a DB file created by one of the Germany researchers which should activate the 4th division. That means that the Bundesliga clubs' reserve sides will be active in the competitions. The file that heels found last year went down to the 5th division and revamped all the cup competitions. This one seems more basic but takes care of at least one issue. Haven't tested it yet but figured I would share with you lot.

Phew! Defeated Zenit 2-1 (Aet) at home to take the tie and qualify for the groups! They put Giuliano, Demba Ba and Ben Arfa out of the game, but luckily I had subs. Danny Simpson injured Huszti and Bukharov in the 96th and 106th, meaning we played the last 15 minutes 11 v 9. Still was quite nervy

2012/2013 has come to an end.

My winter transfers were:

Owen Hargreaves in from Man City for £475k
Andre-Pierre Gignac in on loan from OM for £650k

Out:

Simone Pepe to Betis for £2m
John Heitinga to Spurs for £7.5m
Van Buyten to Cardiff for 200k
Ziegler to Fiorentina for £1.6m

The results...

First off, I switched back to the 4-1-2-1-2 narrow diamond formation I used for Everton pretty much the entire time on FM11 and even back to FM10. I used Gignac as my target man and Anelka/Maynard as the poacher. However, with Anelka's contract being up, and Gignac's asking price for a permanent stay way too high, I may be forced to go back to a 1 striker formation, however it probably won't be a 4-4-1-1, but rather a 4-5-1.

Tim Cahill's better days have passed him by and he missed significant time all season long with various injuries, and has lost a bunch of his physical attributes. So he's pretty much been relegated to a rotation player at most. I've made him a coach, however, as I did with Phil Neville, so while both will technically be players, their main use at this point is coaching.

Good news is we did qualify for Europe with a 7th place finish.

Ok, here's a problem I'm having.

When I bring over new logos into the game they appear for the teams they are for, but the logos already in the game for the lower leagues disappear.

EDIT: And I feel retarded because I did not have a single issue besides the face pack not working last year.

Are you checking the right boxes in graphics? At work, but I think it's check 'always reload skin cache' and uncheck...something

'Always reload skin' needs to be checked, but I did it with 'Use Skin Cache' checked and unchecked and still nothing.

I'm not certain if Mac is different, but on FM, the graphics folder needs to be part of the user data folders. So on a standard PC, it would be something like C:/user/SI/Football Manger 2010 and then a series of folders for tactics, schedules, etc. Grahpics folder would go in there.

Also of note - the game doesn't create all the folders in the user data directory until needed. So if you haven't created and saved a tactic, there won't be a tactic folder. The game won't great the graphics folder.

Uncheck "Use Skin Cache".

I believe I found the correct FM12 folder, thank you. I was going through Steams FM12 folder and not SI's.

Yeah, it won't grab the files then. Any additional graphic should be put into the SI data folders. Inside the graphics folder, the organization doesn't matter at all. You could literally have a massive facepack, a massive logo pack, a bunch of kits all in one folder together, so long as the config file was set up properly.

286 page guide on FM12. A lot of focus on tactics, roles, and so on, but a really solid read. Even if you are comfortable with tactics in FM, its still not a bad read.
