or phillip rivers having surgery a week before the AFC championship game on his torn up knees, same applies for Peyton Manning.

or what about the Center who played for the dolphins who had the broken pinky, and when they told him he couldn't play with it, he just said cut it off, so thats what they did.

and for those who say playing rugby is much more exhausting, you've obviously never played football.

because in football, every play is like lifting your max weight for a couple of seconds, I've seen plenty of guys in rugby standing at the end of the line just standing or jogging, waiting to get the ball pitched to them, there is a lot of "standing around" in rugby, which gives them plenty of time to catch their breath too.

i believe that center was a college player not sure though i remember hearing about a college kid doing that too

Anyways , who cares which is more violent? Does that make it a better sport??? IMO NFL has better athletes (apart from 1 or 2 possible rugby freaks) . And as for the playing injured and pads thing thats just stupid , for a start theres WAYY MORE MONEY (qoute me if im wrong) in the nfl. Have u seen how much these guys earn??? Would you give someone like Peyton Manning his contract then tell him to go out and play on a broken leg if he had one??

Anyone who is an athlete can tell you that it's harder to run full speed and then stop to catch your breath only to have to run full speed again.

That's like when we're doing sprints at practice, I'd much rather just run 800 yards non-stop then have to run 100's with breaks in-between them.
It's much harder to run full speed and then have to stop and try to control your breath.

Also even though Rugby is non-stop, a single player doesn't move 100% of the time. It's like soccer, people say it's alot of running but really like 70% of the time the ball is nowhere near you and you can rest.

In football you have to repeatdly go full speed only to stop try to control your breath and then repeat.

Take players like Reggie Bush, Adrian Peterson Willie Parker pretty much any Running Back in the NFL and put them in at the Wing in rugby they would score atleast 2 tries a game easily because of their speed and shiftiness. Theres no doubt Rugby players are tougher but when it comes to athleticism NFL players are freaks of nature.

That's what I said earlier. I'd like to see the average rugby player try to get a hand on someone like Reggie Bush or Willie Parker.
They'd just shake them and then burn them with speed.

Just to clear everything up i really do love football and always have but, some how we got to which one was more violent. Even though I didnt care everyone else was on footballs side so i figured id pick rugby just to pass some time. yea i tried to hold it together for a while but i ran outta arguments pretty early
so it kinda got lame after that but i had to grind it out since i was almost to 200 posts. I got 100 in like 4 hours last night so theres probably alot of people thinking ima jacka this morning. I could really give a fck less though so its cool
