Heard Steve Coppell is in talks to become Pompey's manager. I like him, but he flaked out hard at Bristol. Hopefully he can stick around and get back to the Premier League. One of my faves from his days at Reading

Its not really a big deal.

Pierfilippo told the Independent that his dad missing his big day is "absolutely not" a problem and that the family finds the whole thing a bit funny. Plus, since Pierfilippo and his soon-to-be wife already have two kids together, strict Catholic Fabio only considers the wedding a "formalizing" ceremony anyway.

All that aside, his son isn't paying him £6 million a year, so it seems Pierfilippo's overdue formalizing thing automatically comes a distant second to anything that does.

When you make £5 mil a year to be England coach with a fixture list numbering in the teens, I think it's more you should be talking to your son about being stupid enough to schedule your wedding this weekend. The FIFA international fixture dates are named well in advance, it's not like this is a surprise

I dont know. Im not saying youre wrong, but having watched the game. It was very typical Spain. Everyone plays the same way to beat Spain. And everyone knows where there soft. England just took advantage today. Ill be curious to see what happens.
 
So Sepp Blatter continues to show that he's out of touch, unrealistic, and quite possibly stupid, but will he quit? Hell no, he won't go!
 
Gus Poyet called Evra a 'crybaby' today. Unfortunately, I think this is just as out of touch as Blatter. Poyet and Luis are apparently now friends, but I feel this opinion is outdated. Sure, Gus probably experienced more racism in the '80s and '90s than many players will now. However, just because it WAS like that doesn't mean it SHOULD be like that. Players need to speak out when these things happen as they are role models. Racist fans and players should be punished and kicked out of the game.

To say it used to be that way is negligent, just like hockey players bemoaning how players wear helmets now or don't fight as much. Sure, it may have been a 'tougher' game back then, but is that really better?
