How can anyone trust these people if they keep taking jobs in the industry? What's even funnier is how all their sheep fall in line.
I actually though Chase Becotte was a pretty decent gaming writer, but that doesn't make you a good game developer.

His reviews were generally pretty brutal and bland and he obviously had no idea what was going on in most of the games.

Sliz was a huge dork at MM. Had no idea he was "working" at OS for the past few years but having worked first hand with Tiburon developers I can say that being a former MM mod probably puts him in the upper crust over there, sadly.

yeah he is a major douche. i used to play games online with him all the time back on MM. he was a fun guy to game with. Then when MM shut down and he went over to OS he became a typical OS tool.

I got no problem with him using OS as a stepping stone. But when u start towing the company line for EA thats when you know your a sell out

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't blame him for doing it ... but this continual exodus of OS guys to the gaming industry hardly makes them seem impartial.

Sliz was a good kid as far as I was concerned. Annoying when playing Forza though. He'd be out of a race after half a lap, and would then spend the rest of the race driving backwards.

I use to play the 2k bball games with him. It seemed that was all he and TeeBee would ever play. He was cool online but I couldn't stand him on the boards. He just came off as an arrogant douche to me.

I just don't see the benefit of hiring these mopes if you are EA. They already give you all the free advertising you can get and when they bring in these people from "the community" it isn't like they make a fuckin difference in the product. I know several people that have gone, and if not permanently worked for them, helped out in "the process" and not a single thing benefited the end result, and from what I've heard from someone i trust that helped out, EA was about the most unorganized group of rag tags known to man (at least the NCAA group). Brutal. F- worthy.

I don't think dave's point is that the Korver dork "sold out", I think dave's point is that the OS pipeline to EA further pounds home the questionable journalistic "integrity" of the site.
