Exactly. If he is taking steroids, he is by far the best athlete at concealing his usage. France would love to catch him red handed, but it just isn't going to happen because he doesn't dope.

When someone is as close to death as Lance was, they take on a new appreciation for life. They want to prove everyone wrong who say they cannot do this or will never do that. Who would have thought Lance would have not only came back to professional cycling but to also dominate the sport?

Anyway, they go into the mountains starting tomorrow. This is the first real test for Lance to see if he has any hopes at winning again.

France has been out to get him for years. He's tested, IIRC from some research I did a while back, three times as much as the next athlete on the list...which, I believe, recently, was Usain Bolt and other sprinters/runners.

If Lance was using - unless he uses of the most exotic designer, undetectable roids known to man - it'd be found out by now, considering how often he is tested.

He literally has an entire nation and an entire governing body of his sport after him...

Floyd Landis (whom I truly believe was clean), was simply busted based on pure ignorance of what was coming to him.

Yes he has been tested plenty but there were some REAL odd occurances during his testing years including the infamous "oh, well... I have to shower before you test me" thing from a few years ago.

What the hell could Lance do in the span of thirty minutes to completely rid his body of steroids? Honestly. There would almost certainly be traces of the particular steroid in his body if he was doping right before the test regardless of if he took a shower or not.

For as arrogant as he may be, he did certainly play the team role this Tour. When it became apparent that Contador was the class of the field, Lance helped break Bradley Wiggins by sticking with him on one of the climbs while Contador rode away. Could Lance have kept up? Probably not. When Lance saw that Wiggins was completely wore down, he attacked and left Wiggins in the dust.

A lot of things, actually. There is "gear" (steroids and precursors) out there that are engineered simply to be broken down by the tests applied to them. So, in all actuality, that whole scenario raises a huge question.

Okay. There's no proof though so I guess the entire situation really depends on how one views Lance. As a Lance supporter, I believe there would have been some hard proof that he doped by now. Yet all we are left with is a few shady situations where we don't really know what happened.

Oh yeah, cancer AND brain surgery, as well as multiple other medical procedures. To believe that he did that clean just because he tells you so and because Nike puts out awesomely edited commercials is just stupid.

He took steroids after his surgery to recover. That's it. To blindly accuse a man of taking performance enhancing drugs while he was actively participating in cycling without any proof whatsoever is pretty stupid if you ask me. Is that what all amazing athletes will have to go through now, being accused of taking steroids just because seemingly everyone else has to take them?

Lance is tested so much that something would have come out by now.
