But on an individual talent level,that joke is interesting about the team winning quite well without him and Cassell in his place. While P. Mannings absence made a team fall apart.
if Vinatieri doesnt make a couple field goals where do you rate Brady then?.... something like Marino with a SB win or 2?

The 2008 Patriots had one of the easiest schedules possible, and still missed the playoffs.

Steve Young also picked up right where Montana left off, posting a 14-2 season the second year after Montana was gone.

Not arguing Brady > Montana, but you can't paint it as black and white as you are.

rams just likes to rag on the Patriots and Brady, nothing new to see here. he admits that he'll use whatever logic he wants despite others pointing out the flaws with them.

It would be nice if Brady could drive the field with 2:00 left in a Super Bowl or championship game, stick the ball in the end zone, and rip out the heart of the opponent with 0:00 showing...as opposed to dinking and dunking into semi-comfortable FG range.

rams makes a valid point about a good portion of Brady's legacy resting on his kicker. From the tuck game to all three Super Bowls, the way we look at Brady would be quite different if not for the kicker he had.

I mean, just for arguments sake, lets say his kicker was, oh I don't know, off the top of my head, totally random...Mike Vanderjagt instead. People might say Brady didn't win enough big games, or something. "Good in the regular season", or some shit. Huh.

2007 he drove down the field and got the go ahead touchdown with 2:45 left.
-12 plays, 80 yards in 5:12

2004 they cruised the whole way, not really a negative.

2003 he had 1:08 seconds, and set up a 41 yard field goal, dead center in a dome. Obviously nothing is automatic, but a rather easy attempt for NFL kickers. Let's not forget Brady had them to the 27 in two plays, but a pass interference call by Troy Brown put them back at their own 43 with 50 seconds left.

2001 he drives 53 yards in one minute with no timeouts.

Let's not get ridiculous here and assume every QB could lead three touchdown drives, let alone three scoring drives, with the game on the line and not much time left. Not every QB can throw a pick with the game on the line like Peyton Manning.
