I would say that Leo is the best male actor in the business right now. In his age group, I'd also say that Kate Winslet is the best female (of course they're in some awesome movies together and they both do fantastic jobs).

I don't think that anyone in the acting profession today has a resume that can stand up to Meryl Streep's. Period.

As to Fassbender, he's a nice up-and-comer but I thought that A Dangerous Method was stupid (mostly because Kiera Knightley was acting "too hard"). Mortenson and Fassbender did their parts for sure. Fassbender hasn't been in a wide enough range of roles to compare to the current greats in the business.

Jack Nicholson is a fairly one-dimensional actor, but you have to admit that his one dimension is fucking brilliant. Of course he is playing himself, but no one can do it better.

Natalie Portman was awesome in Black Swan, if she can keep picking roles like that I think she might have the potential to move her name up the list of hollywood's best talent. She definitely still has work to do.

Except where is Tom Hanks now? He's been nowhere to be found for a decade while DiCaprio has been making a name for himself, he just hasn't had any gold for people to cream over him about. Hanks had a great run in the 90's but he's unbelievably overrated.
