You're too hung up on the numbers kid. The Saints play against better offensive teams than the Chargers do. I mean unless you think it's tougher to keep the Raiders out of the endzone than the Falcons. I'm pretty sure the Chargers only played one offense ranked in the top 22, and it was the Broncos.
Bullshit. The saints defense is every bit as good "personel" wise when the chargers are without Merrian. Their secondary is overrated.
Again, he plays against better competition too.
Did I say anything near that? You make the most horrendous fucking arguments. I said he was more consistent, and he is.
And? This past year the running game was off, the offensive line has been terrible for two seasons. Playing the best defenses in the league he still led his team to the superbowl. Not to mention you think Santonio Holmes isn't a top 15 WR, so he had few weapons offensively. Yet still made big plays all year to win games, including the playoffs, and the superbowl.
He has a better offense, considering you think Holmes isn't a top 15 WR. Numbers don't show that a qb is a leader btw. Numbers have shit to do with being a leader. A leader wins you games. Brees loses close games time and time again.
And... the Steelers have two superbowls in 4 years. That offense must be doing something right. It's not the line. It's not the WR core. The running game sucked last year. What was it?
Your arguments are hilariously ignorant.
The saints defense didnt face better offenses...its the other way around.
Legit offenses the saints defense faced....
redskins, broncos, carolina, chargers, falcons, packers, atl, carolina
Chargers faced....
panthers, broncos, jets, miami, pats, saints, colts, falcons, broncos
Are you serious? You just said the chargers minus merriman dont have better personel than the saints? Wow. Im going to just start throwing some names out...i mean jason david, scott fujita, vilma, roman harper, scott shanle, kevin kashivarn, will smith are bettter than shaun phillips, quentin jammer, stephen cooper, cason, jamal williams, louis castillo, and cromartie? lol...wow. Saints defense is better on paper than the chargers defense on paper.
Thats your favorite and only argument just about every time. Stick to making funnys in the locker room. please.
Big ben is more consistent than Drew Brees? Are you serious? Dude stop being a homer for once and open up your eyes.
You keep saying this shit...better defenses. I mean come on the bengals and browns twice a year? lol. You act like the afc way better than the nfc. This isnt a few years again. Stop making it seem like its the east vs the west in basketball where everyone knows that the east is shit compared to the west.
lol dude. You make it seem like big ben is MUCH better in the clutch.
In the 4th quarter this year...big ben has 4 tds, 5 ints, 61%, and 74.7 qb rating.
Brees has 10 tds, 6 ints, 63%, and a 95.3 rating. Yeah...hes much better.
Lol thats simple...the number 1 defense in just about every category. lmao.
I'm not basing it off of "choking", I'm basing it off of who I believe is a better overall quarterback. I might take back Drew Brees but Donovan Mcnabb is a better quarterback then Tony Romo. FACT
Mr ground ball himself. I dont think so. I live in philly and I watch about 70% of the eagles and mcnabbs games. Mcnabb is elite, its no arguing that but he isnt consistent and makes alot of bonehead plays. And his inaccuracy is something that can be sicknening at times. Again with entire skillset in mind, meaning everything he can do as a qb, I would put brees>mcnabb.
This is for Chadman . Heres some situational Drew Brees stats in the regular season in the last 4 years
2007 - Drew Brees
4th Quarter within 7 Stats - 76.8 P.R 5/7 INT
Those are his worst stats of any time or quarter in his games
2008 - Drew Brees
Behind 1-8 Points - 71.5 P.R 3/5 TD INT Ratio
Worst stats of any time or situation in his games
4th Quarter Withing 7 Stats - 91.9 9/6 TD/INT
Pretty decent you would say right? His 2nd worst situation quarter stats
Right now lets compare his situtional stats to Rivers over the last 2 seasons since you wanted to compare them and asked where I was getting info from
2008 - Phillip Rivers
Behind 1-8 Points - 109.5 P.R 10/4 TD/INT
4th Quarter within 7 - 104/1 P.R 13/3 TD/INT
Granted Rivers 2007 stats are about equal to Drew`s 2007 stats . 2007 was only his 2nd season starting in the NFL unlike Drew`s 6th season at starting
This can all be found on the players NFL.COM stats if you dont beleive me
I know how much you LOVE stats so there you go
Im not much a stat guy. In fact i hate bringing up..I dont know I why i've been doing it as of late. Its my opinion though. Ive watched enough of both and i find brees more impressive. Brees can make every throw, and is the most accurate qb in the league if not top 3. He controls his offense. Hes a surgeon on the field as he carves up defenses with precision. His ball placement is tremendous and gets the ball out quickly. Rivers on the other hand is accurate as well. Hes not more accurate than brees as alot of his balls are high. His ball placement isnt always great. He throws alot of jump balls and high balls to his tall wideouts. That can only be seen by watching games. He is more clutch than brees...i give him that. How many games have you watch brees play in comparison to rivers?

i have breesahead of rivers personally, but those two are 5 and 5-a.
exactly. Brees has been doing this for a while. Where was everyone when rivers threw 21tds and 15 ints, while brees had 28 tds 18 ints and 67.5%.
