I'll make another prediction then.

Jay Cutler will have more wins than Kyle Orton in 2010, when he finishes above .500 as starter, for the first time in his career. Mike Martz made Marc Bulger a pro bowl quarterback, and Bulger doesn't have even half the talent that Jay Cutler has. Mike Martz made Shaun McDonald look like a #1 WR in 2007. Unless there's a major clash of egos, Jay Cutler will be a more disciplined football player in 2010.

I'm still picking Green Bay to make the superbowl, though.

Without reading back through every post, I caution Bears fans to hope their backup QB is solid. Martz's system produces lots of yards and points when ran properly but his QBs take tons of hits. Even when he ran the greatest show on turf, Warner ended a lot of plays on his back.

There are actually quite a few good WRs in that list. Kevin Walter is a stud. Arnaz Battle is a great athlete. Derrick Mason would immediately the best WR the Bears have had in years. Chambers and Curry could do well. Isaac Bruce might be able to help.

I can see a few of those names making their way to Chicago. (Bruce, Bradley, Bryant, Chambers, or Clayton). Should be interesting. I see the Bears in the playoffs next year, that is if they can stay healthy defensively.

Yeah the bears wide receivers have been terrible because they don't have a #1. Are any of those guys a #1 outside of Mason? I think it'd be a waste of money to go after any of those guys--they would merely be adding another mediocre wide receiver to an offense that can't give cuntler time.

The problem now is the Bears brass believes in guys like Knox, Bennett, Hester, and Aroumashodu to be their WR's. They most likely feel like they won't need to upgrade with the way Arom finished the year, the season Knox had, Bennett was "solid" I guess, and they will NEVER give up on Hester for God knows what reason. Unless Martz comes in and flat out demands a certain player I'd be hardpressed to see the Bears making a move. Not that they don't need to make one....

I'm also not to worried about him not using Olsen. He will IMO be able to use Olsen in a lot of ways like an extra RB in pass formations rather than using Forte. Martz should be able to get creative with Olsen in his offense...if he wants to.

IMO, Olsen is one of the most overrated players in the league. He gets the ball thrown to him a ton, he sometimes catches it, and after he catches it he immediately falls down. I am also not worried about Martz utilizing Olsen, because I don't think Olsen warrants any special attention from the offensive gameplan.

I won't disagree but in all honesty he's one of the few weapons the Bears have that his worth using.
