I thought the question marks were the "hidden" vehicles? I didn't think the landmarks (if that is what you're referring to) show up until you drive by them?

locations are not all questionmarks, but for this case the locations that you need to know will show up as questionmarks and if you scroll over the question mark it will tell you if it is a secret vehicle or the location

Listen to what Phelps actually says when reading the clue - it's always the most important line. Then go to the descriptions of the landmarks on your map and look for something similar. I think the one in Pershing Square says something about a rain forest. Take a look at the descriptions on the map to find something that mentions one.

Take-Two Interactive is a company that's been largely defined by Rockstar Games, especially the monstrous Grand Theft Auto franchise. Other Rockstar releases have been critically acclaimed but until last year's Red Dead Redemption, none of Rockstar Games' releases have achieved the same blockbuster sales.

It's unclear whether L.A. Noire will achieve the same status, but based on comments from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick on the company's financial call today, there's reason to believe it's doing well.

Zelnick was asked several times to compare the launch of L.A. Noire to Red Dead Redemption, especially after Take-Two announced the open-world Western game had sold 8.5 million copies so far.

"We certainly don't want to be subject to [comparing] all of our new releases of new franchises against the extraordiany success of Red Dead Redemption," said Zelnick. "Every title stands alone. We have every reason to believe L.A. Noire is another strong franchise for this company."

He would not, however, elaborate on sales specifics.

"No matter how you slice it," he said, "Ii's a very successful release. To be able to say that again is extraordinary. This management team is just immensely grateful to Rockstar for delivering another superb title and 2K [Games] for all the franchises they've been delivering as of late. One can never take that for granted. The hit ration of this group is extraordinary."

Following the successful release of a new property, Take-Two tends to toss the word "franchise" around pretty quickly. It happened to BioShock and Red Dead Redemption after both were released.

"We do see this [L.A. Noire] as a powerful new franchise for our company," concluded Zelnick.

Yeah, but it's been delayed so many times and there has been so little info about it I'm pretty skeptical of it ever seeing the light of day.

Rockstar Games is a notoriously secretive developer. When Sony announced the company was working on a PlayStation 3 exclusive called Agent at its E3 press conference in 2009, one might have expected there would be more details about Agent coming sometime after that.

You know, or not.

On a financial call today, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked if Agent and Max Payne 3 were still coming. We've seen screen shots of Max Payne 3 recently, but that's not the case with Agent.

"Max Payne 3 and Agent are still in development," said Zelnick.

He didn't elaborate beyond that, as you might expect. So...there's that.

With only 2 full weeks of sales, I have no doubt L.A. Noire is May's top software. Also, financial calls are mostly PR and posturing. Who knows where Agent is at in the development process. E3 needed to happen yesterday already. I love hearing all of the big blockbuster announcements that come out of E3. Maybe they'll have some news on Agent next month at E3.

Sony was initially bankrolling the project so that it would be exclusive to PS3. After a few years of development they apparently didn't think it was progressing quickly enough so they pulled out their investment. I think then Rockstar decided they could fund it entirely with proceeds from GTA4.

I really fucked that first Vice case up. But I think I can blame it on something that kind of irks me about the game. You never really know what order you should visit locations. I've tried mixing them up, ie not going in the order that is in your notebook, and missed out on clues that could've helped me in an interview. In this case I went in order and the same thing happened.

 

I went to see the bookie first and then the number guy but it seems it should've been the other way around.

I did however get into a sweet ass chase through the train yard during a street crime case.

The one thing I really hate about E3 though is when they announce something too early. Easy example would be The Last Guardian. We'll be lucky to see it near the end of 2012.

Just finished the game. Loved it. I'm going to go back through and get the 5-Star rating on the ones I flubbed and try to figure out which weapon I didn't get a kill with later.

Damn. I read that Amazon was having some shipping problems with L.A. Noire's release, but I didn't think it was this bad.
