Really the only game that can compete for GOTY so far this year is Dead Space 2. Right now I'd lean towards that but I am not even 50% through this game so things can change.

I haven't checked, but as far as the cars are concerned, does the game keep track of which ones you've found or does it just say 21/50 or something like that?

I didn't like Portal 1, so i doubt I'd enjoy Portal 2.

It keeps track. In the main menu, there is a extras option and it has a vehicle showroom that shows you every car you have unlocked.

Odd. I enjoyed the increased focus on interrogation and gunplay that the Arson desk brought and thought the ending was pretty great.

A time trial might be fun.

From a stop, from the West end of Beverly blvd. going east (here) on to 1st st. across the bridge all the way until the right turn at the end.

I did it in 3:29.6 with a Tucker Torpedo during the day.

Ones with turns and stuff are cool too, I just wanted to go fast.

Beat it last night. I didn't mind the last cases, but I found the ending... unsatisfying.

 

No problem with taking control of Kelso, no problem with Phelps dying... but it felt like his investigation almost went for naught. The dirty cops really didn't go down.

Remember to watch credits for the scene after it.

Finished "The Silk Stocking Murder" and "The White Shoe Slaying" from the homicide desk on Sunday and got my first 5 star rating. I think I would have a few more if I weren't driving around town like a bat out of hell. People need to recognize a police siren and get the fuck out of the way.

The thing for me is that this was not a "stoner game" at all, I'd be interrogating people and end up accusing them of the wrong shit because I'd forget who I was talking to. Also the Truth/Doubt/Lie thing is a little too vague imo.

truth = they have no fucking idea about what you said or are telling the truth

doubt = you think their not telling you the whole truth and you have to force it out of them

lie = whatever they said contradicts the evidence you have. it is a bit tricky to know if you have something that contradicts them, but remember you can always back out of a lie accusation. Also during an investigation and before you ask a question press select to look at your evidence just to remind yourself of what you have.

Anyways more bad news from me. I did finish the game (YAY), it was great, amazing story, etc, etc. Anyways I was going around doing all the small extra stuff. I had gone to all 30 places, collected 25 film rolls (took a long time), gotten up to 40+ cars, and was bout to finish my 30th street crime then while it is loading/saving it locks up. I restart the system and it said my date was corrupt so it erased everything basically except for the save I had when going on the last mission to beat the game. So I cant roam LA and finish them, I'd basically have to restart.
