G4 plays LA Noire with a real life LA detective. It's an 11 minute video full of spoilers so don't say I didn't warn you. The video is basically the real life detective giving insightful commentary as he plays. I watched the first 3 minutes and it looks really interesting but I'm supposed to get the game in the mail some time this week so I had to stop myself. Someone who's played the game might enjoy it more.

i saw a few minutes of that video. he was a detective with over 30 years in the lapd.

Or an Ebay seller. You will get at least 50 dollars back if you sold it on ebay. When I got BF2 and SF4 I sold them both on ebay after a few days for 50 bux.
 
anything new on being able to DL the games DLC for ps3? i know the store is down but do we have to wait for it to come up before we can get the DLC?
 
I just figured it would be more than $25. They have a trade in 3 games and get an extra $10 deal. I was going to use that to get RDR and go towards a preorder. I got LA Noire, Alan Wake & NCAA 12 for $7 due to turning in games I didn't/won't play anymore. I had 2 copies of Black Ops so I turned one in for $22 so I was just expecting more that $25 trade in. I may try and sell it on Ebay. I'd definitely keep it if there was some sort of online mode. I never traded in games though until last week.

Im surprised people pay $50 for a used games, maybe it is just me, but I'd pay the extra $10 for a brand new game.

It depends. With more companies turning to the pay-to-play online model, I agree to just go new for those games. However, for single player games or games with meh multiplayer options, saving the $10 is fine. You have to consider that the savings add up over time/purchases for people who repeated buy games like this.

Yeah that is true. I don't buy a lot of games so thats probably why I'd usually spend the extra $10, I only bought one game last year and two games the year before that lol


edit: well I bought five last year, three were used games I got on sale and also got SC: Conviction for like $20 brand new on sale at BB. I usually only buy two a year though.
 
Yea I would be lying to say I've only played it twice. I've basically beat it twice :-P, but I will definitely look into selling it on Ebay. Definitely no way I'm giving it to Gamestop for $25.
 
so im not really feeling this game. its got alot of great aspects to it. But the gameplay is boring. i play for an hour and get bored and have to stop. im only on the lipstick case

Yeah I decided last night after that post that I would keep it. I may get rid of it once all the DLC is done. I got games to tie me over while waiting for the DLC. Hopefully I'll have RDR to play soon. Also hopefully the patch to fix the lock ups comes out soon.
