5 pro bowls say he was a preferred safety, not necessarily good. The Pro Bowl voting is a joke.

Roy Williams was very good. He was one of the best safeties when the Cowboys played in a 4-3 defense. When they switched to 3-4 he didn't fit in and therefore became a liability. Thing people forget though is that the majority of the pro bowl voting is from the coaches and fellow players, fans voting doesn't amount to as much.

Draft rounds and ratings dont mean shit... Half the HoFers we've had lately came after the 2nd or 3rd round. I could name 10 that came after the 5th. Players get rated based on what school, who they play, their "attitude", and Mel Kiper.... So really fuck draft ratings. I seen so many busts from Round 1 and HoFers come from the 6th round.

IMO its too early to say whether Mitchell will be good or not. There are guys who grade out low who end up being decent. I wouldn't put too much stock in NFL scouts getting it right either, because they've been known to miss almost as much as they "get it right." As far as his rating goes it appears he was drafted too high, but ratings tend to be hit or miss anyways. It really depends on Mitchell and whether the Raiders can put him in a position to be successful.

2,474 passing yards, 20/13 TDs/INT with 1,039 rushing yards

Rushing stat=overrated. His sack yardage was not taken off of his rushing total so the real rushing yardage for him was roughly about 300 yards less.

In either case a QB with a rating in the mid 70's is not "good" to me. It's merely average. Perhaps below average by some standards.



Also in 2006, the year you point out, Mike Vick didn't even make the Pro Bowl.*According to Pro Football Ref* So if you want to use Pro Bowls to determine "good" Mike Vick was not "good" in 2006.

Moore should just move to OLB right now, because he is going to get anal rapped by the division. As a Big 12 fan I watched a lot of games and beings that i'm in Kansas. A shit ton were Mizzou games. Moore was picked on his whole senior season by quarterbacks, in fact the only reason why he has so many tackles is because he gave up so many receptions. He had 1 interception the whole year and it came against Iowa State. I'm willing to bet you can't even name Iowa States Quarterback...

Don't get me wrong, If you put Moore at OLB or he only plays on run D then he is killer. In the pass, he is shit. His Junior year he had 7 interceptions, that stat is all well and good when teams are bombing it deep half the game to try and keep up with your offense.

Infact a little tadbit, Moore had career high tackles (10) at Texas Tech. Know why? A certain QB-WR was lighting his ass up and all he could do was tackle the receivers after they made the catch.

You don't take projects or players with potential in the 2nd round. You go after starters in the 2nd round.

I think Mitchell has potential, but the Raiders drafted him way too early.

He could possibly be a starter. Oakland is average at best at the safety position.

The Raiders could have gotten a higher rated player in round two, then still taken Mitchell later on in the draft and gotten two serviceable players instead.

Apparently the Chicago Bears told Mitchell that they were going to take him with the 49th pick in the draft. Don't know how much truth there is to that so take it for whatever its worth.

The Bears, from my understanding, were considering taking him in the 4th round at the earliest. The #49 stuff I'm not sold on because they had Robiskie targeted there and once he was gone JA was on the phone looking to trade down.

I am not doubting they picked him a little high but I would have loved to have that guy on the Bears. Having Mike Brown never healthy pissed me off because a safety who can lay a huge hit on you will leave players weary about stretching out for passes and cautious when running.
