Sorry guy, I don't have XBOX live. I never use my 360, just the ps3. Had to scrape the dust off my 360, and download a hella lot of updates to the console just to download Powerpros...lol.

I already bought it the morning it came out. You don't have to have xbox live gold to buy games. The free or silver works. I was able to buy it,,,so I figured that let anyone by games regardless if they are live gold or not.

Wait, I just read on Gamefaqs that three of the modes on the main menu, including Homerun Derby, are locked out even in the final game and that they will be DLC? If that is true....:thumbsdown:

Of course the game is only $10. But to have that stuff on the main menu and have it show "Unlock Full Game" when you select it in the demo, only to find out it's noty even in the full game? B.S.

Can someone confirm or deny?

What is not included is the All Star Game pack and Home Run Derby. There will be DLC coming out next week for the all star game. You get the All Star team rosters, and home run derby. The Third DLC is some Bobblehead Battles mode, which unlocks a player editor feature, or some sort of create a player feature. The edit player feature will be important for keeping the rosters accurate for the future. Konami hasn't listed a price for either of those yet. I can't imagine it will be much.

The game out now is all teams, exhbition mode, season mode with full stat tracking and so on.

I wish we had the full retail version of Power Pros back,,but we don't. I would pay full retail for it.,,as would many. What they gave us was a game fully worth 10 dollars. And there add on features hopefully will be pretty cheap. I'd love to have a full roster editor,,but again we are talking about an xbox arcade game here. I'm happy with just the full season and full stat tracking.

For the models you can turn off the bobbling. That's the only change you can make to the characters. They might not have the full player detail like a retail version, but you can;t expect them to go into depth for an arcade game. It doesn;'t seem shady at all. They announced all these features and layed out there plan at E3.

Ok, gotcha. I guess I misunderstood you about the character models.

Yeah, I think $10 is a steal so it's hard to complain. But as far as E3, I read about everything there is to know about games and knew NOTHING about this game until the other day. So the average person is definitely not going to know what they are getting. It still is shady. When you play the demo and check the main menu and everything besides "Quick Game" shows as "Unlock Full Game" one would assume that all of those features will be available when you buy the game, not later in DLC.

The "DLC", and I use that term loosely, better be dirt cheap though. If they are trying to get over on people on initially charging dirt cheap for it but then charging $5 each for these three expansions? Boo.

OS did a piece on it, paste padre, and gametrailers. That's when some buzz starting to come out that this game was ready and was going to be avalaible soon. There were even videos from E3 posted on youtube from gametrailers and such.

Sure it wasn't a big release by any means, and probably got lost in all the big game E3 hype. But there was info out there, and it made it to display floor.

But keep in mind that you are a HUGE fan of the series and have probably been actively searching for any info on the game since it was announced. I never even heard of it until you mentioned it here and I think anyone can attest I'm a pretty knowledgable guy. I don't visit PP anymore since the Madden league I was in collapsed a few years ago. I also don't visit OS.

I just want to clarify that $10 is well worth it and I just downloaded the full game a few minutes ago, so that should tell you how I feel about the game. I just think locking out modes for later DLC and not communicating it at all, unless you are scouring message boards or hawked E3 conferences, is pretty shitty and shady.

Nope, game was announced in January, and that was it, no news. Everyone I think just forgot about it, I know I did. I honestly thought it was scrapped like RBI Baseball.

I only play sport games, so I checked out the sports related news from E3, and all of a sudden there is PowerPros, and it was complete and done out of nowhere and being demo'd. It was pretty wierd. But it caught peoples attention there I think, because it's a pretty fun realistic game of baseball.

Can you trade and shit in the season mode? I'm not looking at getting into minor league teams or even drafting just a simple trade screen and such.

No, once the season starts, you can't make trades, no minor leagues. I wish it did, the older full retail versions did, but not this one. Maybe there is only so much they could fit into a arcade game, I dunno, wish there was though. I'll can still have fun with what they gave us.

There is a create a team feature and then I think you can bring that team over to season play.

The player editor will be key because you can then rename players on your team, to a current member if the old guy is gone. But the player editor will be coming in the form of dlc with bobblehead battles I beleive sometime in the near future.

The outfield camera is pretty much a deal-breaker for me, the trial at least made me feel like dusting off The Bigs again though.

I liked the bigs, but not as much as the Power Pros series. The Bigs got easy and old a little too quick.

There was supposed to be a Bigs 3, but then no news on that, so no idea where that project is at now.

Instead it looks like 2k is going forward with NickToons MLB. It's based off the Bigs engine with Nickelodeon cartoon characters and MLB players for the Kinect, Wii.

Kotaku.com had info from the E3 floor on the game.
